    City Metro, and Long Island; Winter Storm Warnings for the rest of area, Coastal Flood Warning for portions of the area.

    PRECIPITATION Heavy Snow with Blizzard conditions in warning area WINDS Speeds increasing to 25-40 with Gusts to 60 mph COASTAL FLOODING Minor to Moderate. Surge of 3 to 5 feet above astronomical tides with battering wave action on northeast facing shores TEMPERATURES 30s Friday; 20s Friday Night and Saturday TIMING Precipitation develops from SW to NE after 1 am Friday
