ANTHEM:

With a Voice of Joy

*CALL to WORSHIP We are called forth to give, because God has first given to us! God has given Himself in sincere love for our benefit. God desires that what we give to Him is the sincere offering of our whole selves. May the devotion that each one of us offers, the time we dedicate, and the gifts that we bring represent our full commitment to Christ Jesus! Come, let us present our whole selves in Christian service! *HYMN #466G Take My Life *CALL TO and PRAYER of CONFESSION Forgive us, Father God, when we pretend to be righteous by the appearance of our ritual. Too often we have acted devoutly, when in our hearts we have been anything but devotional. We keep for ourselves what really belongs to You, and then pride ourselves on our voluntary contributions. Teach us to be sincere in offering our love and devotion, as well as our time and wealth, that we may have the joy of giving our whole selves as our true worship in thanksgiving for the blessings You give to us. We pray this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, in whose name we now confess silently... *ASSURANCE of PARDON and *GLORIA PATRI (#733) *AFFIRMATION of FAITH- Apostles Creed (back)

THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
