Also, remember, read every night and encourage your child to stay focused on reading books for Accelerated Reader! Read each night and fill in the Reading Log, remember it must be signed by a parent/guardian. Your child should be reading at least (minimum) 20 minutes each day. More than that is good too!

Writing: Writing Directions


Students will continue writing the steps for their directions. They will learn to use good transition words so that their directions are clear to the reader.

Math: Geometry

We will continue our study of Geometry. This week we will learn about solid (3D) shapes. Students will identify lines of symmetry and be able to tell if shapes are congruent. We will also talk about how to transform shapes.

Social Studies: Revolutionary War We will conclude our study of the Revolutionary War this week with the study of the partisan soldiers Francis Marion, Andrew Pickens, and Thomas Sumter. Our test will be this Friday, February 15. The study guide was sent home last Friday.
