This library is great! Thanks so much for all of your help, very friendly staff. Lovely, love the library. Love the library, love the staff. What more could you ask for. Wonderful service, a pleasure to attend I love this library, great staff, books & DVDs, thank you. Always good contact and service. Much appreciated to be able to keep up with all information available. Great library. Zine workshop is great according to my son. Informed, patient staff. Dear Library Staff, thank you all for your continuous help and friendliness. Thank you especially for Story Time and activities. It is a highlight for my granddaughter every week. The books are fantastic. My husband and I are having a great time reading so much. Thank you all again. Happy Christmas to all. Thanks for opening longer on weekends Regarding the new hours I dont have a problem with them. Frankston Librarys hours are much more than Mornington Peninsulas, including being open on Sundays. Great help in looking for books. Lovely to read about longer opening hours. Wonderful! The library hours are not new, they are changed, upgraded, replaced, improved or altered. (adapted text) I was in the library today and I thought that the air conditioning was up too high. I was here from 3:30 to 5:30 I had to put on my hoodie, a vest and my beanie!! And I am not elderly, I am only 32. Yes, its warm outside, but having the aircon up so high is surely a waste and bad for the environment? Friendly staff though. As a disability holder I am upset that in a place like the library we have only 2 parking spaces which are usually full naturally. I cant walk far due to my condition. Other parking is too far. So, more needs to be done regarding parking. All Library parking spaces full library not. Clearly others utilizing these spaces. Especially hard on physically handicapped.

Our Response

Thank you for your kind comments.

Thanks for your feedback

We are aware of maintenance works being carried out on the airconditioning system of the entire Arts Centre complex. Please talk to one of our staff members if you feel uncomfortably hot or cold in the library and we will request the temperature to be adjusted. Thank you for your feedback. There are 7 parking spaces close to the library reserved for people with disabilities: 2 are on Playne Street right in front of the library, 2 are in the Arts Centre carpark on level 2, the same level as the library, and 3 are on the upper level of the Arts Centre carpark with access to the library via a lift.

I havent had calendars from Council for years. Not this year. Our rates are up. Please explain.

Our Response
The library has always distributed calendars for Council, however we do not produce them ourselves, therefore you would need to enquire at the Civic Centre to follow up your query. Thanks for your suggestion. We do provide those details for the mosaic items, but will in future ask all artists to provide weight information for any new items.

Art for Loan If there is information how heavy each item is, it would help a lot. PG Wodehouse is present in this library in Everyman Publishing editions. These publishers edit and revise books and in so doing have cropped and changed the stories leaving out the brilliance of the complexities of Wodehouses characters and wit and plots. Please can the library supply these classic books by publishers that do not alter texts. Lately I have been reading the Saga of Larten Crepsley by Darren Shan. However this has become difficult because only books 1 an3 are available at local libraries. Book 2 Ocean of blood, is not owned. You need to have some Asian music in the World music section of the CDs. Please buy more alternative artists CDs. What happened to the rainbow sticker books in the teen book section? You need to buy more books on LGBT stuff. I love all your animal books and CDs and DVDs I would like more novels set in ancient Egypt.

Thank you for your feedback. The library does hold copies of P.G. Wodehouse titles with different publishers. We will keep this mind when purchasing replacement copies.

Thank you for your feedback. The library has ordered books 2 and 4 in this series. Please see our information staff to reserve a copy Thank you for feedback and suggestions. We will investigate obtaining some Asian music and alternative artist CDs for our collection. If you have recommendations please see our information staff. We will also look at obtaining more LGBT books for our teen collection. Thank you for your great feedback!

Thank you for your suggestions Please update the videos Books on rebounding exercise please Rebounding books? Rebounding exercises. No books in library.

Thank you for your suggestion. We have tried to source books on rebounding with our supplier but there has been nothing recently published on this. We will continue to check to see if anything new is published on this subject. Thank you for your feedback. We have recently done a stocktake at Seaford Shop so there will be even more new titles out there soon!

More rotation of library books to Seaford Shop.

Can the library management in the event that your public Network system goes down without warning print out the next days booking sheet for the computers, a day ahead. This is so people can be notified instead of making a wasted trip. When I am booking out on the self-check machines why cant it indicate if I have borrowed a book before.

Our Response
Im sorry you wasted a trip to the library, we endeavor to contact our patrons if the public computers become unavailable, unfortunately it is not always possible to notify people if the network stops working Thank you for your suggestion I have forwarded it onto our system suppliers and await their reply People who are unable to visit the library at a particular time or are housebound are able to access the library via online or telephone. This includes reserving items. Once a reservation for an on shelf item is made the item is available to that person, we do not priorities access according to whether a patron is in the library. Unfortunately, this will sometimes create a situation as occurred with the item and your selection from the shelves. We offer a free reservation for that item if this occurs. The aim of the library is to be consistent and equitable to members no matter which way they access the service.

For the second week in a row, I have been refused a DVD from the shelf because it has been booked by phone or email. If you run a retail organization who would you serve first, the person at your counter or a person who has simply made a phone call and may never come in to complete the transaction. Suggest you modify procedure person to ring for booking if booking not confirmed the booking is cancelled. In the interim counter customer to have priority.
