Warm Up and Slow Down at Tomato Pie Caf

Although winter can be a slow-down, stay-in, lay-back sort of time for most folks, this past winter has held many endeavors for Tomato Pie Caf owners Chris and Karen Fisher. If youve ever met them and picked up on their creative energy, you wont be surprised that these two natural entrepreneurs can be found on the train that keeps moving forward, and theyre not likely to give up their tickets any time soon. Their passion is people, hard work, adventures and making the best out of whatever it is they are given. Its certain that they had no idea they would be here today, being the owners of four food-oriented businesses that they continue to pour their hearts and souls into. It is no small endeavor--which they undertake with the assistance of four of their own children--- but one that has become the true meaning of a family business. As youngest daughter Emily Fisher points out, there is a lot of hard work in the food service industry. When it comes to keeping a business running smoothly, it can be scary and it can be fun. It all depends on your perspective. For Chris and Karen Fisher, there is much more emphasis in the fun. They take life as it comes and remember to enjoy the simple things. For them, the lens which they choose to see through is colored fun, such as introducing Lititz and now Harrisburg to the wonderful dish known as Tomato Pie, along with wonderful sandwiches and breakfast items and sweets to savor. Its hard to believe that theyve been up and running with the Tomato Pie Caf for almost three years now. What was dreamt up as a small bakery and coffee shop has turned into a full service restaurant, cafe and espresso bar. Tomato Pie Cafe has become a hotspot for locals and tourists who are new to Lititz. Theres nowhere to nd more supportive neighbors than the ones in Lititz. Tomato Pie Caf is a happy addition to Lititz with its tight-knit community with a sincere sense of charm and respect. Their goal was and still is to offer options that are fresh and unique. If a slice of warm , juicy red tomato pie with a cheesy crust overtop isnt a good enough reason to spend time at The Pie, once a week, then certainly a hot, freshly roasted and brewed cup of coffee in a warm, comfortable setting is. Valentines Day at the Tomato Pie Caf offers the irresistible Lets Fall in Love cake. Whether you fall in love with the person you are sharing the cake with, or simply the cake itself is sometimes hard to distinguish... they are both delectable. Stop In this Friday evening to enjoy a live performance by the vocalist of a Lancaster- born musical group Saint Eloise. Christina Berg will be dazzling everyone with her voice and charisma.
