Michelle Reed is a cum laude graduate from the University of Houston. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in English in May 2012. During her years as an undergraduate student, Michelle completed four internships, including a highly competitive internship at Fox News Channel in New York City. She also co-founded a news-based series called "College Smart," with a six-time Emmy award-winning producer and journalist who has also accumulated over 180 journalism awards. The series was an outlet for college and high school students eager to start their career in journalism. It allowed students to go into the field as reporters, photographers, and field producers so they could learn how to put together a news story as a "one-man-band."
