New York City A law enforcement source told CBS News senior correspondent John Miller that a body recovered from a burned cabin in Big Bear, California, is believed to be that of Christopher Dorner, the fired former LAPD officer who was suspected of earlier killing four people, and was the subject of an intense manhunt. Apparently the fire was started by officers (listen the videos audio). Authorities let the cabin burn. We wont allow them (firefighters) to get close to the cabin, said sheriffs spokeswoman Bachman. Its just not safe. Apparently, officers burned Mr. Dorner alive. People are claiming, this is another Waco, Texas. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms raid the Branch Davidian compound on February 28, 1993. More than 80 were killed, including 22 children, who died in the fire on April 19. The San Bernardino County Sheriffs Office said charred human remains were found in the rubble where Christopher Dorner is said to have been cornered Tuesday. We have reason to believe that it is him, sheriffs spokeswoman Cynthia Bachman said. A wallet with a California drivers license bearing the name Christopher Dorner also was found, the Associated Press reported. Bachman said forensic tests would be carried out to confirm the identification.

Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Big Bear, Calif. - An image from KABC-TV shows a burning cabin where police believe Christopher Dorner is hiding. The deputys death in Tuesdays shootout was the fourth slaying attributed to Dorner. Dorner was charged with killing Riverside Police Officer Michael Crain and was the prime suspect in the murders of Monica Quan and her fianc, Keith Lawrence, on Jan. 29. She was the daughter of a retired Los Angeles police captain whom Dorner blamed for his firing after reporting alleged abuse by another officer. Randall Quan represented Dorner during his termination hearing. A man identified as Rick Heltebrake, who works at a Boy Scout camp in the Big Bear area said Dorner stole his truck from him at gunpoint. Heltebrake said: He (Dorner) said, I dont want to hurt you, start walking up the road and take your dog with you. He was calm, I was calm.
