OSCAR WINNERS With the oscars coming up at the end of the month, we though we'd pay homage to some legendary, award winning movies here at the bath & bottle speakeasy cinema. We've picked some of our own favourite films and performances but with so many to pick from, we thought we'd enlist your help too! Throughout April, we will be showing award winning films that you have voted for. Pop into the bar or check out our facebook for more details.

February
Wednesday, 20th : The Kings Speech (2010) Dir, Tom Hooper. Following the scandalous abdication of his brother, Bertie (Colin Firth) who has suffered with a speech

impediment his whole life - is crowned King George VI of England. With his country on the brink of war and in desperate need of a leader, he must overcome his debilitation and find his voice. Winner of 4 Academy awards. Wednesday, 27th :Slumdog Millionaire (2008) Dir. Danny Boyle. The story of Jamal, a young man from the slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? And arouses suspicion of cheating. The film follows key events in Jamals life and reveals how he knows the answer to each important question. Winner a huge 8 Oscars in 2008.

March
Wednesday, 6th March: Forrest Gump (1994) Dir. Following several generations of the life of Forrest Gump - a simple man with good intentions who unintentionally witnesses some of the most defining moments of the twentieth century. This film won a sweep of victories at the 67th Academy awards and the hearts of everyone who has seen it. Wednesday, 13th : Wednesday, 6th : The Hurt Locker (2008) Dir. Katheryn Bigelow Winning Six Oscars and huge critical acclaim, The Hurt Locker is an American war film following a bomb disposal unit during the Iraq war in an incredibly raw and intense thriller. Wednesday 20th : Chicago (2002) Dir. Rob Marshall Chicago takes us to the roaring 20s as Catherine ZetaJones and Renee Zellweger find themselves on show for their crimes of passion. Winner of 6 Oscars in 2002, including Best Picture this is a guilty pleasure and

firm favourite of ours! Wednesday 27th : The Sound of Music (1965) Dir. Robert Wise We don't think it would be Easter without Julie Andrews leading a curtain-dressed family across those Austrian hills! An absolute classic which sees Christopher Plummer's strictly run family in need of a governess... enter mischevious nun in training Maria. Hardly in need of an introduction, we wont blame you if you come out singing! All together now.. Do Re Mi Fa La So.....

April
Throughout April we will be showing your favourite Academy award winners! Customers will have the chance to take part in our vote both online via facebook and at the bath & bottle bar itself and select their favourite Award winning films. Just vote for your favourite and we will announce the results at the end of March. All screenings for our speakeasy cinema are completely free and include complimentary popcorn. Booking is simple. Either call 845400 or email bathbottle@rockfoodconcepts.com to save a space for your chosen film. Booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment but we often have space on the night so feel free to call in last minute. All films start at 8pm. A text ordering service will be available during the screening so you can enjoy your favourite bath & bottle food & drink without the need to interrupt your enjoyment of the film. Enjoy the film!
