Project Summary
Team Persona X Jamin Koo, Yu-Hsuan Lin, Edgar Nuez, Hengjuan Qian, and John Simpkins will be working together as a team on all non-individual assignments in SI 622 under the name Persona X. Roles and responsibilities of each team member will differ per assignment so as to enable all members to gain experience in various aspects of the project. SciStarter SciStarter will be the client of Persona X in SI 622 and the team will conduct surveys and tests, aggregate and analyze data, and provide the evaluation outcome at the end of the semester. Roles Descriptions PROJECT MANAGER - Creates and delegates tasks. - Keeps team on track and on time. - Determines new roles per assignment. Project Calendar

Assignment dates along with team member schedules will be managed in a le (extension .gan) using a free desktop tool called GanttProject. Each Assignment has one to three team members assigned in different roles. Project managers are indicated by curly brackets. In order to track progress in more detail, subtasks will be added as needed.

Team members are added to the Gantt chart as resources. Blackout dates - i.e. dates when a team member cannot make her-/himself available due to workload or schedule conicts are indicated in red in the chart below.

Communication Covenant
Team Persona X has established the ways in which each team member will communicate with each other, share their ideas, and deal with issues. Listed below are meeting norms, working norms, meeting minute / interview minute norm, document assignment compilation norms, communication agreements, roles and responsibilities, and contact information of the team members. Meeting Norms 1. Be present. 2. Come prepared. 3. Step up, step back. Be aware of how you are working in the group. Contribute meaningfully and also allow others to voice their opinions. 4. Start and end on time. 5. Set clear purposes for our agenda items.

Code of Conduct All group members will be respectful and active listeners, as each member is a valuable part of the team.

Group members will endeavor to create a comfortable environment for expressing conicting ideas. Trust is important here; we are all working toward a positive outcome. Be creative! All efforts will be made to start and nish on time. For meetings with external components, all members responsible must be exactly on time without exception. For internal meetings, there will be a 5 minute grace period from the start time to accommodate logistical realities. In the case of repeated lateness that causes the group to discuss the issue, the GSI will be contacted. Client contact requires appropriate dress for the work environment.

Assignment Completion Norms 1. In order to avoid duplication of duties, work assignments will be claried in advance. 2. Should someone decide to do work outside of his/her scope (i.e. work that was accidentally not assigned), he/ she will notify the group prior to starting it. 3. We will follow the assignment posting requirements as set forth by the instructor and noted here: A) Assignments Please submit your assignments in PDF format if possible and name your attached assignment le as follows: YourGroupNumber_YourGroupName_AssignmentNumber For example : Group12_PersonaX_A4

B) In-Class Presentations Please submit your presentation le (in any format) under one of your group member's Drop Box (listed on the left side menu bar on Ctools) by 8 AM, Tuesday. Please include your group name in le name.

Communication Standards 1. We will meet at least once per week on Tuesday, from 6:30-8:30pm. If further meeting times are required, they will be set utilizing Google Calendar. 2. If an email requires an individual in the team to respond, we will attempt to respond within 24 hours and, absent an emergency, will respond within 48 hours. If more than 24 hours has elapsed, the group member may receive a phone call. 3. We will be reasonable about phone usage in general. 4. We will endeavor to complete all assigned tasks within the given timeframe denoted by our project plan. Each assignments deliverables will be handed in to the project manager for nal compilation no later than Sunday morning prior to the assignments due date.

5. If a task is not going to be met due to operational constraints, the person responsible for the task should notify the group by email as soon as the constraint arises; this email should include a few potential remedies for the constraint and address any project dependencies. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, advance notice should be given at least 48 hours prior except in the event of an emergency. 6. Remote meeting attendance via Skype or Google Hangout is acceptable although not preferred, provided the attendee furnishes a stable internet connection/otherwise conducive environment. 7. Should a team member exhibit consistent difculty in completing project tasks (determined by a quorum of no less than four group members), the team reserves the right to communicate this to instructors. 8. If a group member nds a task to be exceedingly difcult, the group agrees to support that member in the tasks completion. 9. We will endeavor to become better friends with food and other stress-relieving activities as time permits. 10. Google Docs will be used as the shared repository for the project materials, and references as well as the ideas from each team member to be shared. 11. Any signicant update or change to Google Docs space should be notied to each team member by any possible means as soon as possible. 12. Team members agree to come to each meeting as prepared as possible. 13. Team members will try to be compassionate towards the needs of our group members that might affect their ability to do timely work.
