Remember: We can continue solicitation of sponsors for the Summit at this point. The logos of the sponsoring institutions will appear on the brochure. A cost of $200 was set to have the logo appear in these materials. A presented by category is established for a donation of $1000 or more. On the other end of the spectrum, a category of patron is established at a figure of $20, designed primarily for private donations. Adoption of Hospitality Initiative by-laws, including the selection of officers and Board of Directors as follows: Officers-President: Charles Mabee Vice-President: Olaf Lidums Treasurer: John Suggs Secretary: Melissa Gillum Board of Directors In addition to the officers named above, Padma Kuppa Gail Katz Kevin Hickey It was determined further that we would submit all paperwork and fees for the creation of the 501(c)3 ASAP in order to receive funds for Summit registration. 2. Kevin reported that the account with Paypal is established. Lacking only is approval by First Presbyterian church to fully implement the system. However, since we are moving quickly on establishing our own 501(c)3 status, this may have diminished importance.

3. It was determined that Padma would head up the project to provide book sales at the Summit. She will first provide the committee of potential books, and we will go from there. 4. Charles discussed Mailchimp and the committee approved this free bulk mail server for HI usage at this point in time, instead of fee-based Constant Contact. 5. The committee tabled the formation of a dinner committee for the Saturday evening event at First Congregational church, May 4. However, this needs to be up and running by the next steering committee meeting. 6. Kevin was acknowledged as heading up the monastic community component of the Summit, especially the dinner with Richard Kearney on Friday, May 3. He will be plans with Padma for monastic representation at the dinner from the greater Hindu/Jain/Indian religious community. 7. Some additions to the Summit program were discussed. The program will be absolutely finalized at the next meeting on March 4. 8. Plans are being developed for a field trip to St. Benedicts monastery in Oxford, MI. Details to follow.
