Based in the North East of England, Geo Journeys are a company that provide a unique and innovative programme of GPS navigation and Geocaching to Primary and Secondary schools. Led by Keiron and Carl, two highly skilled and experienced teachers in this field, Geo Journeys have delivered highly enjoyable, interactive sessions to over 200 primary and secondary schools throughout the UK over the last four years. From London to Accrington, High Wycombe to Newcastle we have brought our passion for nature, energy for outdoor learning and dedication to IT skills development, to children across the Key Stages.

Geo Journeys invites you to experience Geocaching and GPS navigation training. Geocaching is a form of hi-tech treasure hunting which combines many curriculum subjects such as Geography, Maths, P.E., PHSE and IT.

Led by the children, it also develops practical life skills, learning inside and outside the classroom, builds confidence and improves speaking and listening as they work together towards a common goal.

In addition to all of this, its hugely enjoyable for both teachers and children alike.

The children enjoyed all aspects of the day and were challenged appropriately. They especially enjoyed the Geocaching and guided walk.

We had a super day; it was great for the children to try something different in a familiar location.
A Conlin, Teacher, All Saints Primary School, Lanchester

Thank you for the day, the children especially the boys, thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. It was nice for them to learn new skills and put them into practice in their own locality. The geocaching went down very well!
Gill Dodds, Teacher, Burnside Primary

It was challenging enough to really interest the children. Really well paced and gave me the confidence to use the locality again.
Ms B Rule, Y6 Teacher, St Patricks RC Langley Moor

This was just the best day ever. I loved Geocaching, finding the boxes and doing the challenges inside. The physical challenges were hard but we did all of them. I will definitely do it [geocaching] again.
Morgan Davis, Y6, St Pius X, County Durham

The most fun Ive had at School!

Sarah Price, Y5, Peel Park Primary, Lancashire

It was a lot of fun but it was only at the end of the day that I realized we had learned a lot too, how to navigate and how to work together.
Christina, Y7, Pipers Corner School, Buckinghamshire

Its cool and I want to do it again!

Geo Journeys: Proposal For Primary Schools

Experience Geocaching for the First Time

Keiron, one of our directors, has worked as a teacher in primary education in the North East and abroad. Carl, our second director, is an experienced Tutor. They have recently been joined by Kieran, an experienced former Forest Schools Coordinator and Higher Level Teaching Assistant. We are proud to enhance the learning experience of pupils from Year 2 through to Year 6. Geocaching has become a global phenomenon and our innovative and inclusive programme affords learners of all abilities the opportunity to engage in an activity that develops the important life skills of teamwork and navigation, takes learning outside the classroom and encourages healthy competition.

Working With Your Children

We will train your children how to navigate using GPS units on school grounds and then provide them with a bespoke Geocaching activity which can take place out of school grounds. The children are split into teams and compete against each other to complete the geocaching in the shortest time possible. EVERY child will be rewarded at the end of the challenge.

We would recommend this day for KS2 though do have a half day programme for Y2.

Prices for an average-sized Primary are around 350 per day. We are very happy to discuss a bespoke programme of delivery with individual schools. For more information or to book a day/s with Geo Journeys please dont hesitate to contact us
