Expanding Intranasal Splints with Chitosan


PosiSep X is indicated for use as an intranasal splint intended to minimize bleeding and edema and to prevent adhesions between the septum and the nasal cavity. Promotes wound healing after ESS1,2,3,4 Expands to occupy space within the nasal cavity Dissolves naturally or can be easily removed with gentle irrigation and aspiration No mixing or prep time necessary Biocompatible - manufactured from naturally occuring Chitosan polymers

What is Chitosan?
Chitosan (ky-toe-san) comes from a substance known as chitin, an amino-polysaccharide removed from the powdered shells of crustaceans.

When PosiSep X is hydrated, it expands to prevent post-op adhesions
