Welcome to Maple Grove Transit

Maple Grove Transit is a service offered by the City of Maple Grove providing weekday morning rush-hour express service to downtown Minneapolis with return service to Maple Grove in the afternoon rush hour. There are five express routes serving downtown Minneapolis: 780, 781, 782, 783, and 785. Route 788 is a feeder route to the Route 783. Route 789 is an express route to the U of M. Route 787 is a shuttle route that provides midday and evening service from Maple Grove Transit Station to the other Park & Ride lots, allowing someone parked at any Park & Ride to get back from downtown Minneapolis midday or evening via route 781.

How to Use Maple Grove Transit

Catch the bus at any safe location along the route. Simply flag down the driver. Free parking at all park-and-ride lots. Look for the overhead bus sign for route and trip number. Check the website for more details listed in the Rider Guide.

Shuttle Route

Miscellaneous Information
Bike racks are available on all buses. No service on the following Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Reduced service may be operated on the days before or after Independence Day, Thanksgiving or on Christmas Eve. MGT has the nicest riders around, but it never hurts to be reminded of some good rider etiquette to make the journey as pleasant as possible for everyone. Guaranteed Ride Home

Taking the bus is great, but what if you need to leave work early? It happenssick kids need to be picked up; your boss asks you to work late at the last minute; theres a family emergency and you must leave work now. With the free Guaranteed Ride Home program, Maple Grove Transit riders never have to worry about being stuck at work, when they really need to be somewhere else. Participants can use a Guaranteed Ride Home up to four times per year or $100 in value, whichever comes first. Use it on a bus or train and well reimburse your Go-To Card or pass for the fare you paid. Take a cab and youll be reimbursed for the cost of the ride after you submit the receipt. Guaranteed Ride Home will give you peace of mind, but you must be registered to participate. Get more details and register online today at www.metrotransit.org/grh.

Maple Grove Transit (MGT) cannot guarantee that every person who desires to park at the park-and-ride facilities will be able to obtain a parking stall. The number of parking stalls is a fixed quantity and are available on a first come, first served basis. MGT cannot guarantee that every person who desires to ride a specific bus or trip on any given day will be able to do so, due to buses having a fixed seating and standing capacity. Bus use is available on a first come, first served basis.
