Jane: What is Edward doing here? Dont you know who this is? He is the son of Carlisle and Esme. Please explain to me what is happening here? Caius: He was the vampire that was about to expose his identity. We overheard him talking with Alice and Bella what he was about to do. Where is Aro? I have to tell him. Jane: He is out hunting. He should be here any minute now. (Enter Aro) Aro: What is this? Caius: Believe it or not, he committed the exposure crime. He is not who you think he is. He is guilty, I dont see why he would do this, but Im sure of what I heard. Aro: I dont believe this. What have you heard? Give me details. Caius: Well, I did as you told me, to patrol the streets. I was investigating, and when Im about to go back home a stop in a small alley behind Le Coucou Caf, I heard someone talking about the incident. I had to get closer and there he was. I could not believe what I was seeing. Alice and Bella began running, but Edward didnt even bother moving, and he wouldnt deny any of it. Aro: Is this true Edward? Edward: (senselessly) yes. Aro: Please Caius Jane I would like to have a chat with him.

(Jane and Caius exit the room) What were you thinking? Have you lost your mind? Do you know how dangerous this is for all of us? You exposing yourself would affect us all. Dont you know the laws Ive made against this? Edward: Yes, Im aware of the laws, but the only way of ending my life is by doing so, and this is what I want to do. My desire is to be heard by others. Aro: What is the reason of this outrageous action? Edward: You have killed my brother Jason. What you did to punish him was unfair. He didnt deserve to die, and I will stand up for him no matter what. I owe him that. Aro: You know what happens to vampires who commit this crime? Right? Edward: Yes, I do. Ill do anything thing to honor my brother. Aro: Jane, bring Alice and Bella. They are equally guilty. Plus, Bella know about our existence and must be killed. Edward: (with great alarm) No! They had nothing to do with this. Leave them out of this. (Enters Caius with Bella and Alice, guarded) Aro: Their fate is death. And they know this. Edward: Take them out of here, they have nothing to do. Bella: (softly) Edward, love, we are in this together. Edward: No! You do not deserve to die. Alice: I should have seen this coming. Edward, we are equally guilty as you are. He was my brother too. Aro: My decision will not change. Guards, Caius, take them to jail. Their death is approaching.
