Who BRASA is
BRASA is KUs Brazilian Student Association. BRASAs goal is to To promote the Brazilian culture & Portuguese language throughout KU and to support Brazilian and other students at KU that are interested in Brazil. BRASA has six board members and has over 30 members who attend Mesa Brasalera, a weekly gathering on Fridays at the restaurant Cielito Lindo.
The Event
The annual Carnaval event has been a long standing tradition for BRASA. The event takes place at the end of what is called Brazilian Week, a week of awesome events, all Brazilian themed. The party is held at Abe & Jakes and is the largest Brazilian Carnaval in the Midwest. It routinely has attendance of over one thousand people. This year, the event includes: Brazilian band Chicago Samba, MC, DJ and VIP area. The date is set for March 30th.

Advertising for the event will reach a large audience, as we are printing out over 8,000 flyers and over 200 posters.

Tier 1 - $1,500 Logo on 5,000 flyers and 500 posters. Logo on all promotions for the event through BRASA email campaign with a reach of over 3,000 people. Option to hold company booth at the event (1,000+ attendees). Displayed as a promoter of two of the smaller Brazilian Week events. Ex.: Sponsor A presents: Brazilian Dance Workshop. Receive 2 VIP tables at the event ($240 value).
Tier 2 - $750 Logo on 5,000 flyers and 500 posters. Logo on all promotions for the event through BRASA email campaign with a reach of over 3,000 people. Option to hold company booth at the event (1,000+ attendees). Displayed as a promoter of one of the smaller Brazilian Week events. Ex.: Sponsor A presents: Brazilian Dance Workshop. Receive 1 VIP tables at the event ($120 value).
Tier 3 - $500 and below Logo on all promotions for the event through BRASA email campaign with a reach of over 3,000 people. Option to hold company booth at the event (1,000+ attendees). Displayed as a promoter of one of the smaller Brazilian Week events. Ex.: Sponsor A presents: Brazilian Dance Workshop.
