health and healing purposes. Massage is said to be healing
because of the power of touch and the impact it has on the
internal organs, the nerves, blood vessels and muscles etc. In
todays fast pace world more and more people are becoming
aware of the benefts of massage. More and more couples are
destressing before taking the big step, and massage is the

An unforgettable honeymoon is a well planned
honeymoon. Whether youre thinking of going to
the moon or in your own backyard, the success
of your very romantic getaway depends on good
budgeting and a well thought out itinerary. Thinking
of going to somewhere exotic like Hawaii, Paris, a
tour of the Caribbean Islands maybe? We all have
our dream vacation spot, where we want to let loose,
lay back and enjoy, but before you do. Here are a
few Honeymoon Tips that are sure to get you
on your way.

next vacation on the plane ride home.
You may also want to use a credit
card that gives you frequent fyer
miles when paying for your wedding
and honeymoon expenses.
7. Figure out a budget for your
honeymoon and make every effort to
stick to it. If its important to you,
be sure to factor in some fun money.
Stressing out over how youre going
to pay for it once you get home is no
way to spend the most romantic time
in your life, and could ruin the whole
trip.
8. Pack separate bags. This way you
can keep track of your own things,
and ladies you can keep your new
lingerie a surprise! Also, if you leave a
little room in your bag, youll have a
place to put new acquisitions.
1. Some couples are just too worn
out from the wedding to rush out
and go on a 10-day trip. Try this:
take a week between the wedding
and honeymoon. Use the time to get
settled. Open gifts, write thank you
cards, get organized. Then take off on
a relaxing trip and enjoy!
2. If you can avoid it, dont book your
fight for EARLY the next morning
after the wedding, particularly if
youre having an evening reception.
Once you fnally get to sleep, it may
be hard to wake up at 5:00am for
that early morning fight or worse you
may not even hear the alarm!
3. Dont try and pack too much into
your honeymoon. Instead pick a few
places that you really want to see and
enjoy them!
4. To really savor the sights, sounds
and tastes of a country, focus on a few
places to visit. Concentrating on a
few cities also gives you more time to
truly experience the local culture. You
can always return for another trip!
Remember your honeymoon should
be more about focusing on each other
rather than marathon sightseeing.
5. Just so neither you nor your spouse
is ever bored discuss your idea of the
perfect honeymoon. Do you want to
be active or relaxed? Do you want to
do lots of site-seeing and exploring?
Do you both like to shop? You and
your partner should make a list of
the things that you like to do, then
compare your lists.
6. If you dont already belong to one,
join a frequent fyer club. Trust us:
Youll already be thinking about your
An Unforgettable Honeymoon

9. If you are using disposable cameras
at your wedding, buy a few extra
and take them on your honeymoon.
Disposable cameras are great when
you dont want to risk losing or
damaging your expensive digital
camera.

10. Label luggage with names,
address and phone numbers on the
inside, as well as the outside. Also,
add a ribbon or bow to your entire
luggage. It will make them easier to
identify in baggage claim.

11. When you frst start to plan for
your trip, check the expiration date
of your passport and, if necessary,
send it in for renewal. Check for
any advance-application visas for
countries you are planning to visit.
Usually, you have to send your
passport in with the visa application.
People have been turned away at the
airport check-in desk with expired or
soon-to-expire passports. Additionally,
many countries will not let you
enter if your passport is within a few
months of the expiration date.

12. To protect yourself and your
spouse, if you are traveling out of
the country, ask your doctors if he/
she does travelers immunizations.
You should also visit the Centers for
Disease Control for health-related
information for your destination.

13. To avoid altitude sickness, drink
lots of water the day before and day
of your departure. If you drink 8 ozs.
of water an hour, it will help you
acclimate sooner.

14. Planning a honeymoon to
a remote overseas destination?
Before you book tickets, check your
destination for potential trouble
such as political unrest, terrorism or
natural disturbances.

15. If youre taking a redeye fight
and arriving early in the morning,
you may not be able to check into
your hotel right away. Consider
starting your reservation from the
night before (with a guaranteed late
arrival) so you can check in right
away.

16. If you are changing your name,
make all reservations in your given/
maiden name. You wont be able to
apply for a passport or change your
identifcation to your new name until
after the wedding. Trust us -- sticking
with the old one on your honeymoon
will save you lots of headaches!

17. Take more money than you
think youll need. To make things
uncomplicated, you may want to
pre-pay, or select a resort that offers
an all-inclusive rate, which usually
covers food, lodging, activities, drink,
tips, and more.

18. Even if youre on a budget, keep
in mind that many places adjust their
rates seasonally. For instance, it can
be less expensive to visit Caribbean
Islands in the summer and many ski
resorts offer a lot of summer activities.

19. Some all-inclusives charge extra
for items such as liquor, sports,
and spa services. Be sure to know
whats included and whats not,
so therell be no surprises. If you
are looking to save money on a
vacation, an all-inclusive package
may be the best value. It is one price
that usually includes your airfare,
hotel accommodations, food, drink
(including alcoholic beverages) and
some water sports (i.e. snorkeling,
sailing).Also, pick an all-inclusive
that caters to couples (Some attract
singles or families).

20. Make photocopies of your drivers
license, airline tickets, etc. youll
be bringing on the trip. Store one
separately from your wallet and leave
another at home.
If the unfortunate happens, you
have back up copies. In addition
to photocopying all your important
documents and carrying them with
you, scan or type up everything and
e-mail them to your e-mail account.
Use a free e-mail account, such as
Yahoo, Hotmail or G-mail, so you
can access your documents from
anywhere in the world.
21. Photocopy the itinerary of your
trip destination and dates. Put inside
each piece of luggage. If luggage is
lost or picked up by mistake, it will
increase the chance of fnding it.

22. Wear something on the fight that
you can get away with for a couple
of days if you have to. If your luggage
gets lost or delayed, youll want to be
prepared. Just in case, pack a change
of clothes and toiletries in a carry-on.
23. Holidays can trip up any
traveler. Trains become less frequent,
post offces and banks shut down,
restaurants may or may not be open,
and shops close. To protect yourself
against holiday surprises, check the
Worldwide Holiday & Festival Site,
which lists legal holidays for more
than 200 places around the world.
And if your travel dates do fall on
such a holiday, call or email a local
(such as your hotels concierge) to ask
how youll be inconvenienced.
24. Always check with your travel
agent about the weather of your
destination. Try not to let those
glorious pictures in the magazines
fool you. You dont want to end up
in a beautiful, exotic location --- in
the middle of monsoon or hurricane
season!
25. Are you unsure as to how
much should you tip? Here are
some guidelines for tipping on your
honeymoon.
Doormen - $1 to call or hail a cab
Bellhops - $1 per bag
Valet Parking - $1 to park car
or retrieve your car
Taxi - 15% of the fare
Tour Guides/bus driver - $1-2 per day
Chambermaid - $1-2 per day
Powder room attendants -.25c - .50c
Coatroom Attendant - .50c - $1.00
per coat
Waiter/bartender - 15-20% of the
bill. Be aware that many countries
will automatically add the 15%
gratuity to your bill.

26. The Internet is a great resource
for planning your honeymoon. If you
book online, be sure to know who
youre dealing with. There are some
less than reputable companies on the
Web. The danger is that youll pay
money and the vendor will disappear.
Your credit card is some protection,
but youre still not 100 percent
protected. If it looks too good to be
true then it probably is.

27. On a tight budget? No problem
weve got you covered. You dont
have to go on your honeymoon right
away. Go on your honeymoon during
Off-Season. You could save up to
45% on your rooms, avoid crowds,
and still get great weather! Or you
might be thinking I cant afford that
exotic honeymoon, we all know that
weddings can take a huge chunk out
of our pockets, but you can still enjoy
an oh so fabulicious honeymoon.
Light Bulb!!!!!! Why not have a get
away in your own country. Why
should tourists enjoy all the fun of
your own island? There are certainly
loads of benefts to this, let me count
the ways to save you money.
Here are some Honeymoon Tips for
those on a tight budget
1. As you start your life as a married
couple, why not use your honeymoon
to rediscover what you have in
common? Lets say you and your
spouse enjoys hiking: Why not
pick the farthest hotel you can fnd
on island and just hike along the
beautiful beach. To everyone else
youll be tourists and best of all you
and your love will be together. You
never know you might just discover
something new about the place youve
lived all your life, take an island tour,
keep an open mind, you just might
think youre in a different world, at
the very least youll be in each others
world.
2. Why not do something special! A

Taking your walk down the
isle is a very exciting and
memorable occassion. We
put alot of time and effort
into planning our wedding
day that things may run as
smoothly as possible.
We have chosen and ftted
our dress, the cake is a
done deal, the bouquets
and all that. But often times
we forget to put some
loving into our skin.
here are a few pointers for
radiant skin and fawless make
up for your journey to the altar:
1. Top up on alot of water.
This fushes out all toxins.
2. Its good to have a few
facials, 2-3 times before your
wedding day.
This will help to make the skin
nice and subtle, getting rid of dead
cells, excess oil, pimples etc.
3. Choose a make-up artist
and book an appointment for a
dry run. Go with hair styled if
possible, this way you will give the
artist an idea of what you would
like and youll also get to see how
your make-up matches with your
hairstyle. be sure to take photos of
hairstyles you like with you.
4. If youre satisfed, book an
appointment for the wedding day.
Your make-up should be done
about an hour and a half before
the wedding , by which time your
make-up should be nice and warm.
so make your planss, get your skin
pampered and make-up done to
perfection, for that beautiful walk
down the aisle.
for the Big Day.

Finding
Your Perfect Gown
28
Choosing the
perfect gown
is one of the
most important
decisions that
you will make
throughout your
wedding planning
and life. Making
sure it is perfect
does not come in
a mere second.
Many brides-to-
be have made this
mistake..
a relative will give you a dress,
or maybe you will order one
from the internet as the online
price seems cheaper than the
in-store price, and that is
true, but internet stores are
cheaper because they do not
offer you full service. You have
already spent many months of
researching the Internet and
magazines. You are between
decisions. now, it is time to
purchase the perfect dress.
The Internet store will only
ask what style and size you
want. You pay the total cost
for the dress and shipping
right away. In a few months,
you will receive your dress in
a little box. The dress will not
be pressed or steamed. often
times, Internet stores never
open the manufactures box to
check for damages to the dress
before reshipping to you. They
simply attach another label and
forward the same box to you.
Remember, this dress is now
yours without much recourse.
since all the dresses are hand
made, each dress is made a little
different. If the size or ftting
is not right, you are stuck with
it. Internet stores never see
you, comment on how the dress
fts, offer samples to try on and
makes no offer for fttings. In
conclusion, internet stores must
be cheaper because they do
not offer full service, they take
all your money without ever
investing their own money nor
time into giving you the service
you deserve.
a relative donates your dress.
brides this is a personal
decision!!!!!! Many brides have
acquired their dresses this way
because they feel a sense of
obligation simply because its
a relative. an easy solution is
to ask that person to donate a
dress that is a personal choice
or advise them to make a
monetary donation. These are
two ways of making sure that
you are completely in control
over your dress purchase, even
if it means you have to add
a little more to it to get the
perfect dress.
The best way to get the perfect
dress for you as well as the
perfect matching attire for
your bridal party is through
full service professional bridal
consultants, who are willing
to spend hours with you to
fnd the perfect gown to make
your wedding day the most
memorable.
once you have an expert bridal
consultant team to spend
hours in fnding your dress,
offer many samples to try on,
offer expert advice, and have
customized ftting, you are sure
to be happy in the end with
your choice and feel confdent
that you are the star on your
wedding day.
Today is the day you
will make one of
lifes most important
decisions. Make
sure it is done right.
Dont ever think
you are saving a
lot of money now,
because you may
spend much more
trying to
fnd your perfect
wedding gown.
