Dont forget our Church-Wide Banquet this Thursday (March 14), 6:30 pm, at Brookland Baptist Banquet Hall with special Guest Speaker, Pastor Jim Henry. Next Sunday, March 17, is our Church-Wide Pledge Day. Well turn in our commitment cards as an act of worship during our morning worship services. IT TAKES DISCIPLINE: TWO SUNDAY NIGHT CLASSES Join Steve Allen on April 7 & 14, from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m., in Room 120. He will be teaching the second class in The Race Series: It Takes Discipline. In this class youll learn the spiritual disciplines that are critical to your success in The Race God has called us all to run. Attendees must have previously completed the Running Together class. Childrens activities are provided on Sunday evenings. Please indicate on the registration form if your child will be attending. Registration forms are available at the Information desk or register online at www.northsidebaptist.org. Deadline to enroll is Sunday, March 31. Wednesday Nights Join us for a great time of fellowship at our Wednesday evening meals (5:00 6:00pm). Catered by Lizards Thicket, the cost is $6.00 for Adults and $3.00 for children (under 10). The menu (3/13): chicken pot pie or sliced baked ham (choice of 1 item), corn on the cob, cabbage, corn bread, rolls and tea. Please RSVP for the meal by noon on Tuesdays. After the meal, all adults will meet in the Worship Center for a time of Corporate Prayer led by Pastor Rocky (6:00-6:30pm) followed by Corporate Teaching (6:30-7:30pm). Mens and ladies discipleship groups and adult choir practice will run 6:30-8:00 pm. All preschool, children and student activities will run 6:008:00 pm. Mens Retreat Join us on April 26 -27 for our 2013 Mens Spring retreat, featuring former Auburn football player and renown speaker Mr. Foster Christy who will be talking on the topic of Here I Am. We will be going to the White Oak Conference Center in Winnsboro, SC. The early registration cost (from now until March 24) is $80 (includes meals, lodging, and conference). Sign-up in the church lobby. Easter Doorhanger Distribution We need your help on March 23 at 9:00 a.m. distributing doorhangers for the events that we will be having Easter weekend and for the grand opening of our West Campus. Groups will be meeting at the Lexington campus and West Campus to distribute the doorhangers. If you are unable to attend on March 23, we will have doorhangers and maps available at the information desk on March 17. Northern Africa & Middle East (NAME) Cluster Meeting August 17-26, 2013 Join us in August as we minister to the workers and their families from this challenging area of the world. We will: Help with and minister to children (babiesage 11) using VBS type curriculum, special projects, etc. Help with medical needs. We have a medical team that will do various screenings, vaccinations, physicals and a lot of other things. We need trained nurses to go and assist the doctors. Also looking for: Physical therapist Pharmacist Speech therapist Dentist Massage therapist People who can give haircuts Ministry to wives. Suggestions: pedicures/manicures, women who sell make up products bring and sell to the wives Northside Christian Academy Fundraiser Northside Christian Academy is participating in the Box Top and Brown Box Veggies fundraisers. All you have to do is bring your Box Tops to the Northside Christian Academy office.
