Jay Parini

Jay Parini is the D.E. Axinn Professor of English and Creative Writing at Middlebury College. His novels include The Last Station, Benjamin's Crossing, The Apprentice Lover, and The Passage of H.M.: A Novel of Herman Melville. His books of poetry include The Art of Subtraction: New and Selected Poems (2005). He has written volumes of essays and critical studies, as well as biographies of John Steinbeck, Robert Frost, and William Faulkner.
