I choose Anti-bulling campaign

Answer the following question. Use a Microsoft word document. Include a heading and a title. Title: I Choose Anti-bullying Campaign.

1. Q: What was your first reaction when reading the title of the story? (4 sentences)

A: My reaction was that I thought the person really died in 6th grade thats pretty messed up. I got kind of sad. I thought someone had written her story on what happened to her for her because I thought she really did die. I almost cried when I read the title because I hate when people kill themselves because they are getting bullied.

2. Q: After reading the story, what does the author really mean when she writes that she died in the sixth grade? Did she really die? Explain your answer using examples from the story. (4 sentences)

A: No she did not really die. Her personality died. It went away because she

was bullied. She stopped being herself.

3. Q: How does the author describe herself before she died? Go back to the story and find adjectives that describe her personality. (2 sentences)

A: she explained herself as part of the Crew. She was outgoing, compassionate, smart very positive when the sun rose and set with knowledge from her parents.

4. Q: In the second paragraph the author says she flat-lined. What does she mean? Look up the word in an online dictionary and write the definition.

A: {I couldnt find the word in the dictionary but I have a pretty good felling on what it means} She means that after Elementary she was not herself anymore. Meaning she did something that people did not like so they went against her.

5. Q: How did The Crew influence others in school? Give specific examples that you found throughout the story. (4 sentences)

A: Well if you were part of The Crew you were very popular. People wanted to be your friend. People liked the way your personality was. So basically they liked the way you acted.

Q: The author mentions that the girls at the sleep over were 11 going on 17 then she states that she was content to be a kid for a while longer. How is it possible to be 11 going on 17? Describe some of the things the girls wanted to do that wasnt age appropriate

What were 3 specific negative effects the bullying had on the author? (4 sentences) It caused depression. Low self asteam because of the bulling. As well as giving up. 8. When did things finally turn around for her? What exactly happened? How did she feel? (4 sentences) When her dad convinced the school to let her into advanced placement. It was the best thing that could have happened to her. She met 3 girls that carried her through the next 2 years.
