Role: Handy person/ DIY expert - ECO-UNESCO What's Involved? ECO-UNESCO is looking for an experienced HANDYMAN/ PERSON willing and able to help us with small chores in our building and garden. *This is a great opportunity for you to give back, which in turn helps us to raise awareness of environmental issues. *Requested on a needs be basis, volunteer to fix, mend, create, build, craft or fashion building facilities Where: The G reenhouse, Dublin 2 When: 1 year on an ad hoc basis Role: Bellringers - Saint Patrick's Cathedral What's Involved? Bells have been an integral part of Cathedral life for hundreds of years. The bells are rung by a dedicated band of ringers made up of people of all ages, both male and female and we are now seeking to train some new ringers in the art of bellringing. We initially wish to recruit about five or six people who would be willing to learn how to ring the Cathedral bells. Where: St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin 8 When: Saturdays for three months for training and Tuesday evening and Sundays morn or evening after training Role: Youth Leader - Teenhols What's Involved? Fancy spending 5 fun filled days in the outdoors of Wicklow with deserving young teens this summer? Every summer Teenhols take 30 kids on adventure holidays for a week of canoing, hill walking, archery, horse riding and lots more. Where: Baltinglass Adventure Centre, CO Wicklow When: 5 full days and nights, some time between June and August. Role: Volunteer for Afterschool Club - Crosscare What's Involved? Supervise homework and participate in activities Where: Upper Wellington Street, Dublin 7 When: 2 afternoons per week for 3 months Role: Desktop Publishing Volunteer - The Rosetta Foundation What's Involved: The Rosetta Foundation is a volunteer-based charity providing trasnlations for non-profit organisations. We're currently seeking a volunteer experienced in the area of DTP, ideally with a knowledge of Spanish. Where: The volunteer can choose to work from their own home or join us at our office When: To be agreed with the volunteer Role: Conference Ambassadors / Event Assistants at European Volunteering Conference What's Involved: Volunteer Ireland in association with The European Volunteer Centre, is organising the spring 2013 CEV Capacity Building Conference on Employee Volunteering 'Making things EVEN' The Employee Volunteering European Network (EVEN) will be launched with the support of founding members * Deadline for Applications: 10th April 2013 Where: Citi, 1 North Wall Quay, Dublin 1 When: The conference is held over two days 18th and 19th of April Role: River Clean Up Volunteer - Dodder Action What's Involved: Clean up day for the river Dodder from Firhouse to Ringsend on March 23rd. Where: Along the length of the river Dodder When: From one hour to one day of helping to clear rubbish from the river and its banks and pathways on Saturday March 23rd
