In our ongoing efforts to support the internationalization of the U of A, University of Alberta International (UAI) has prepared a portfolio of professionally

designed marketing tools for use in recruiting students from other countries. These tools will be effective additions to your Facultys promotional materials and can help to promote your Faculty and build the Universitys profile abroad. With a unified design and high quality material, these tools help to ensure that we present a polished and consistent message to the world about the many advantages of teaching and learning at the University of Alberta.

The International Viewbook is an 87-page publication with comprehensive and detailed information on the University of Alberta. The Viewbook is targeted at potential international undergraduate students and includes topics such as location, fast facts, housing, programs, admission requirements, and how to apply. Folders with a matching cover image are available. The folder is designed to hold the Viewbook and business card as well other brochures.

The International Overview is a fold-out brochure that serves as a brief introduction to the University of Alberta. Information presented includes location, facts, programs, university highlights, scholarships, deadlines, and how to apply. The Overview is available in six versions: General, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and for American applicants. The Sponsored Student Program brochure is for sponsoring organizations that fund international students throughout their studies at the University of Alberta. Topics include the university location, program highlights, and services for sponsoring organizations and their students.

The Work Postcard informs international students of the work opportunities available to them while studying at the University of Alberta: on-campus employment, off-campus employment, cooperative work programs, and academic internships. The card includes a testimonial from a student who has worked off-campus. Student Information Cards are used to collect student contact information and to request information such as GPA, previous schools, and field of interest. The card lists the contact information for University of Alberta International.

The Visiting Student Certificate Program (VSCP) brochure outlines this unique program, which offers international students who do not meet the University of Albertas English requirements the opportunity to combine English as a Second Language studies with regular academic course studies for six months to one year.

The SummerSchool@UA brochure is an initiative of the Summer & Term Programs. This brochure explains the academic credit and scholarship opportunities available to visiting international students taking courses during the Spring or Summer semesters.

Pre-departure bulletins are sent to international students as part of their admissions package to U of A. There are two versions available.Students who are currently studying in Canada receive Preparing for your first year success and those currently studying in another country are sent Preparing for your studies in Canada. The Bulletins are aimed at answering questions and introducing students to their new community. Topics include: immigration, finances, bringing family to Canada, arrival in Edmonton, and orientation services.

The U of A News e-newsletter is sent monthly to prospective international undergraduate students in order to promote U of A and encourage them to apply. Topics include programs, application information, special events, student experiences, and more. To subscribe, please e-mail welcome@international.ualberta.ca

The On your way to U of A e-newsletter is sent out monthly from March-August to all incoming international students. Each issue is divided into graduate and undergraduate editions and contains important information to help students prepare for their studies at the U of A, such as housing, health care, and what to expect when coming to Canada for the first time. The University of Alberta Poster is a vibrant image of the Old Arts building in the Fall and indicates the University of Alberta International website. The poster is available in a folded version for easy mailing and also as a roll-up version that can be framed. Copies with a blank area to fill in event information are also available.

The You of A Video Presentation is a three-minute film about the University of Alberta that includes appealing footage of Alberta and Edmonton. The film highlights the advantages of choosing the University of Alberta as a study destination. A copiable master DVD is available for distribution within your Faculty.

University of Alberta Displays offer eye-catching images of campus and are available for use at special events and college fairs. Four displays are available, each with a different image. Each display rolls into a base unit for easy transportation. Displays are available for loan subject to availability.
