1. INTRODUCTION
This report describes the steps for the new MT120-NB/MT120-WB board introduction and Software Upgrade with as three a pilot BSCs on TRANSCODER

2. PREREQUISITES
The following prerequisites apply before performing the activity

BSS Software
Supported on top of B9 MR4 networks and B10 networks

TC
a) b) New Software TC MT12AX36A package for legacy MT120 AND new MT120NB/MT120-WB. Same TC Software is required for all MT120 boards into one rack.

TC with legacy MT120/current SW allowed to operate alongside TC with new TC SW because of mix legacy/NB or only NB.

3. SCHEDULING

Human Resources
a) On OMC-R Site: 1 operator on OMC-R site b) On TC Site: 1 operator on TC site

Duration
TC SW downloading in TC rack with a mix of MT120 legacy and xB (WB or NB) a) b) c) d) Installation of new boards (legacy or NB boards) if any Connect each NB in turn, to download via ethernet link Duration : 5 min per board Download the new SW to MT120 legacy boards from a NB board ( 2-3 min)

TC SW activation a) Lock the associated Ater link, activate the new SW and unlock the Ater link b) Duration : 6 min per board

4. OPERATING IMPACT
a) BSS ATER capacity will be reduced by one from first Software activation up to the last one b) No. of MT120 Boards involved: 45 c) Total time TC SW downloading(4 NEW NB BOARD): 20 mins d) Total time TC SW downloading(41 LEGACY BOARD): 123 mins e) Total time TC SW Activation(BOTH NEW+LEGACY): 270 mins f) Total time of Operating Impact: 7 Hours approx.

6. FINAL CHECKS
At the TC Site Check the software version on all boards present inside the 9125 TC cabinet
