ORGAN PRELUDE: Hosanna, Loud Hosanna
Turner

OFFERTORY: Palm Branches (see insert) -Faure *DOXOLOGY (#34) *PRAYER of DEDICATION and Our Lords Prayer (debts)

CHORAL INTROIT *CALL TO WORSHIP: Zechariah 9: 9-10 *HYMN #267G Hosanna, Loud Hosanna *PRAYER OF CONFESSION: Palm branches once held in high praise, will soon lay crumpled on the dusty road, O Lord God! And Jesus must go to Calvary to die! How often our empty praises fall like broken palms supported by our own dedication and committed discipleship! We, too, send our Lord Jesus to his death on the hill called Golgotha! Forgive us for our continued sins, O God, which always seem to require an innocent crucified Savior. And continue to come into our lives with victories of forgiveness and new life, that we may become better disciples of Jesus Christ, who prayed to you- O God, only Thy will be Done ! *HYMN #261 (everybody, vss. 1-2 only) *AFFIRMATION of FAITH- Apostles Creed (back)

THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
