DeWind D9.0 2000kW Wind Turbine

The DeWind D9.0 is a three bladed variable speed variable pitch controlled, upwind wind turbine, with an active yaw system. By using a three stage gearbox a 93m rotor drives a double-feed induction generator. The generator is closely matched to a converter in order to feed in high-quality energy into the grid. The converter is equipped with state of the art IGBT (InsulatedGate Bipolar Transistor) technology. It delivers good power quality and meets the requirements of most Low Voltage Ride Through codes in force worldwide. The pitch system is hydraulically driven, with one cylinder per blade, operating collectively. The blades are made from a highly developed hybrid composite structure including carbon and glass fibers in an epoxy matrix.

Features Built on proven technology: An evolutionary design that shares many systems proven on the D8-2000 and D8.2. Asynchronous generator: The D9.0 operates with very high efficiency at variable rotational speed and therefore produces energy, quietly and effectively at wind speeds starting from below 3 m/s. Rotational speed increases due to gusts are stored and converted into electric power at minimum loads. Latest IGBT technology (Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistor): Variable rotational speed operation is enabled through the combination of an Induction Generator with a converter featuring the latest IGBT technology. The converter runs in four-quadrant operation. Use of carbon fiber spar in rotor blade: The use of carbon fiber provides a lighter and stiffer structure. eOS SCADA Framework: This system is a set of intelligent networked components for monitoring and supervising via remote connection. Easy data analysis: All data can be accessed easily through platform neutral communication interfaces. So the display of the data as a Microsoft Excel-file is possible. Noise Management System This System manages noise emissions from the turbine using customer defined criteria like wind direction, wind speed or time of day. The intelligent control system works with the turbine active power management system to maximize energy production whilst complying with local noise legislations.

DeWind D9.2 2000kW Wind Turbine

The DeWind D9.2 is a three bladed variable speed variable pitch controlled, upwind, wind turbine, with an active yaw system. A 93m rotor drives a fixed speed synchronous generator with a rated power of 2000 kW. Due to its ability to generate at up to 13.8 kV the generator can be directly connected to the grid through a synchronizing switch without the need of power conversion electronics, converters or a main power transformer. The fixed generator speed is achieved by converting the variable rotational speed from the wind turbine rotor to a constant input speed by using a two stage helical/ planetary gearbox and the variable speed Voith WinDrive hydrodynamic superimposed planetary gearbox. The pitch system is hydraulically driven with one cylinder per blade, operating collectively.
