Pizza Making in Easy Steps

Equipment Pizza and Oatmeal Pizza Teaspoon and Tablespoon measuring tools Glass measuring cup Digital Measuring Scale Bowls Spoon Flat Surface to work on Non-Stick Pizza Tray Oven Sieve Tomato Sauce Non-stick pan Wooden Spoon Sieve Ingredients (Local) Pizza 300 grams of UFM Brand Bread Flour 1 table spoon Perfect active dry yeast 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C) 2 table spoons olive oil 1 teaspoon salt Tomato Sauce (can be canned spaghetti sauce or homemade sauce) Caroline Grated Mozzarella Cheese Oatmeal Pizza (The rest of ingredients are the same)

Read through method at least once to gain understanding before starting to cook. Collect all ingredients and equipment needed. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) Pour 1 cup of water into a glass measuring cup in the microwave for 40 seconds. In a glass measuring cup, dissolve 1 table spoon of yeast and 1 teaspoon of white sugar into warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes. Add 2 table spoons of olive oil. Measure 300 g of Bread flour on a measuring scale. For Oatmeal pizza, measure 200 g of Bread flour and 100 g of Oatmeal. Sieve in bread flour and 1 teaspoon salt into large bowl. Stir thoroughly until contents are mixed together. Add dissolved yeast and white sugar into the large bowl containing the bread flour and salt. Beat contents until smooth using hand or spoon. Cover bowl with cloth and let rest for 5 10 minutes. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round. Sprinkle bread flour on a smooth surface in order to effectively pat and roll. Flatten out using a rolling pin and roll the flattened dough over the rolling pin use bread flour to avoid sticking to pin. Grease pizza pan with 1 table spoon of olive oil. Transfer crust to the lightly greased pan or bakers peel dusted with cornmeal using the rolling pin.

12. Pre-bake in preheated oven for 5 10 minutes. 13. Spread with desired toppings, grated cheese and tomato sauce, and bake in preheated oven for 15 20 minutes, or until golden brown. 14. Let baked pizza cool 5 minutes before serving. Do not cut on the pizza pan, transfer the pizza to a cutting board in order to effectively cut and keep pan in good condition. Tomato Sauce Recipe (re-written by Aminta) 1. Place a large non-stick frying pan onto the stove. Grease the pan with approximately 4 tablespoons of olive oil 2. Cut tomato into quarters. Cut slits at the bottom so that the skin is easy to peel. Boil in salty water until skin starts to come off. 3. Let tomatoes cool for 5 minutes on a separate plate. 4. Slice garlic. Transfer garlic into pan. 5. Stir until the garlic becomes brown. 6. Add garlic, tomatoes, basil leaves, and other herbs into a food processor. 7. Flavor the sauce with salt and pepper. 8. Transfer sauce to pan if not concentrated enough. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes or longer, depending on the concentration needed. 9. The sauce is now ready to be used for pizza. Enjoy! Dont put steel bowl in microwave - it will explode Ceramic bowls can be put into microwave Dont put open tin cans into the fridge - they will get rusty Can use either Italian or Thai basil Prepare yeast before so it has time to rise Eye level water measurement 300 gram of flour is perfect - but can make it lighter or heavier however you prefer Always close yeast lid- they will die if exposed to open air for too long Use hand to help knead the dough - mix everything together Cover dough bowl with towel - 10 minutes Already grated cheese costs more Put bowl under grater when grating Measuring bowl is not for mixing Fresh tomatoes are expensive - table tomatoes are for pizzas Add more flour if dough is too watery/ mushy Dont put too much topping- pizza will be uncooked 1 table spoon of olive oil on tray, spread it with hand Use flour and sprinkle it on the table and rolling pin so dough would not stick to it Roll the dough on to the rolling pin and spread the dough on the tray Brush excess flour off after pre-bake Dont cut the pizza on tray
