1. Steven Paul (Steve) Jobs, known as a tech iCon, was born on feb. 24, 1955, in San Francisco. 2. Even though he had to drop out college, due to the financial burden the private school's steep tuition placed on his parents, he had demonstrated with perseverance that he was a very intelligent entrepreneur. 3. Jobs had started his career as a technician at Atari, Inc., where he had been designed computer games. 4. He knew how to merge his business sense for the marketability of the electronics with his friends, Steve Wozniak, engineering competencies. 5. He had the ability to understand what people wanted in their computers and electronic devices. He knew that computers obviously had the potential to change the world. 6. He wasnt afraid to invest in his visions. In order to start the Apple Company, Jobs had to not only sell his Volkswagen, but also convince Wozniak to sell his Hewlett-Packard scientific calculator. 7. Steve Jobs was a true visionary who created the first truly personal computer, the Apple, in his garage. 8. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak are credited with inventing the first computer for home use, in the form of the Apple II. 9. Although he chose a relatively simple logo, a bitten apple, it has a very clever design, with hidden symbolism. In the bible the apple was the fruit of the tree of knowledge, Newton was inspired by a falling apple, and the bite is an allusion to the word byte, a reference to computer technology. 10. In 2005 he delivered a Commencement Speech at Standford University and spoke with remarkable candor and eloquence about connecting dots, education, love and loss. Talking about the most pivotal points in his life, he urged graduates to pursue their dreams and see the opportunities in life's setbacks, including death itself. 11. Jobs, known for being workaholic, actually skipped a meeting to take Laurene, his future wife, on their first date: "I was in the parking lot with the key in the car, and I thought to myself, 'If this is my last night on earth, would I rather spend it at a business meeting or with this woman?' I ran across the parking lot, asked her if she'd have dinner with me. She said yes, we walked into town and we've been together ever since." 12. He was ousted from Apple, in 1985, by John Sculley, the person himself convinced to quit the position as vice-president of PepsiCo. and become the Apples CEO. 13. In 1985 Jobs had founded Next, Inc. a computer company that developed and manufactured a series of computer workstations intended for the higher education and business markets. 14. He became Disney's largest shareholder when the company bought Pixar in 2006. 15. Steve Jobs was also Chairman and CEO of Pixar, the Academy-Award-winning computer animation studios which he co-founded in 1986. Pixar's first feature film, Toy Story, was released by Walt Disney Pictures in November 1995 and became the highest domestic grossing film released that year and the third highest grossing animated film of all time. 16. Finding Nemo(2003), The Incredibles(2004), Ratatouille(2007), WALL-E(2008) and Up(2009), box-office hits produced by Pixar, each received the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

17. S.Jobs returned to become Apple's CEO in 1996 after his company NeXT was bought by Apple Inc. 18. Since rejoining Apple in 1996 after an 11-year exile, he has rescued it from near collapse, introduced meteoric products such as the iPod and iPhone, and cemented his role as the oracle of consumer tech gadgetry. Im the only person I know thats lost a quarter of a billion dollars in one year. Its very character-building. 19. He is the mastermind behind the Macintosh computer, the iPhone, iTouch, iPod and iPad, he introduced easy ways to manage music and movies via iTunes, made home photo management better with facial recognition and geo-location with iPhoto and they all bear the stamp of his obsessions and values. The products he oversaw were simple, elegant, and genuinely novel. 20. According to Jobs, the "i" emphasized that the devices were directly integrated with the internet. 21. Jobs is listed as either primary inventor or co-inventor in over 230 awarded patents or patent applications related to a range of technologies from actual computer and portable devices to user interfaces (including touch-based), speakers, keyboards, power adapters, staircases, clasps, sleeves, lanyards and packages. 22. On November 27, 2007, Jobs was named the most powerful person in business by Fortune Magazine. 23. In August 2009, Jobs was selected the most admired entrepreneur among teenagers on a survey by Junior Achievement. 24. On November 5, 2009, Jobs was named the CEO of the decade by Fortune Magazine. 25. In November 2009 Jobs was ranked #57 on Forbes: The World's Most Powerful People. 26. In December 2010, the Financial Times named Jobs its person of the year for 2010. 27. Although CEO, Jobs chooses to wear jeans, a black long-sleeved mock turtleneck and sneakers, instead of corporate attire. 28. Jobs earned only $1 a year as CEO of Apple, but held 5.426 million Apple shares, as well as 138 million shares in Disney. Jobs quipped that the $1 per annum he was paid by Apple was based on attending one meeting for 50 cents while the other 50 cents was based on his performance. Forbes estimated his net wealth at $8.3 billion in 2010, making him the 42nd wealthiest American. 29. Steve Jobs was often criticized for not being philanthropic, in the traditional institutional sense of philanthropy. In 1997, after resuming control of Apple, Jobs eliminated all corporate philanthropy programs, but he lated signed to participate in Product Red program, producing red versions of devices to give profits from sales to charity. Jobs also had said in an interviw, he has done charitable acts privately. 30. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003 and he passed away on october 2011, five weeks after he resigned as Apple CEO.
