GRUMPYS FUNDRAISER BRINGS IN MORE THAN $800 FOR THE PARTNERSHIP

The Partnership is pleased to announce that the January Red Beans and Rice Fundraiser raised over $800! Grumpys, a local Tremont favorite, hosted the event, which was held every Thursday night in January. The restaurant donated a portion of their Red Beans and Rice proceeds to the Partnership for a Safer Cleveland. This new menu item proved to be a hit for both the Partnership and the diners. A special thanks to Kathy Owad and her great crew at Grumpys for their constant support to the nonprofit community in Cleveland. Visit Grumpys at 2621 West 14th Street in Tremont!

PSC SPOTLIGHT
PEG DOWNING
Last month, PSC Trustee and retired Police Commander Peg Downing helped facilitate a transformative workshop for young people called Generation Wake Up! The goal of the Wake Up project is simple: to ignite a generation of young people to bring forth a thriving, just sustainable world. As a result, five young people who participated in the Wake Up are now interested in receiving additional training to become facilitators themselves! Without the hard work of Peg and her fellow facilitators, this project would not have been possible. Also, a special thank you to Alicia Petrella and Yailee Roman, PSCs Youth Development team, for helping organize this successful event. DAN FLANNERY
On February 27, Dr. Dan Flannery, a Case Western Reserve University professor, participated in a White House panel discussion about school violence and prevention. Dr. Flannery spoke on threat assessment programs as part of the discussion about violence prevention on college campuses. He is director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at CWRU and has been a great partner and advocate to PSC over the years.
