General Comments Sweet High Register. Full, heavy sound. In tune. Had to be re-tied one tie down.
Covered, Rich in low 2 in Desktop Folder register, Plays flat in low and sharp in high. Clear tone, full in both 3 in Desktop Folder bottom and top registers. Took off overlap with razor, and it seemed to have improved the reed all around. Now very dark, and covered. Older reed. Played in 5 in Desktop Folder the Guelph symphony for the Bernstein show. reed! Some scraping of the spine in the heart, and the corners of the tip would make this reed live again. First glance, beautiful scrape. Very hard to play. Nice sound, but not full. The stock photo of the reed for the specs is this reed. Clear residual spine in tip. Lightening can be done to re-animate this reed. Plays beautifully. Reed was made on day of writing. Great opening. Better response required. Spine in heart can be lightened. Corners of tips can be lightened. Nice residual tip in spine.
