Edit April -2013 Me too! This month of March , I remember had arrived in a hurry and marching its march past quickly enough too. Now the month of April is here and the great English poet T.S.Eliot had famously called it the cruelest month of the year .Dont exactly remember why he so fumed and fretted over this pretty month of April , it has been a long time since I read his epic poem, The Waste Land. But I am sure if I go a bit late today [March 29, 2013] in sending this edit piece to our editor Seraj bhai , he would be fuming and fretting a bit more. Already our brothers Shakeel bhai and Seraj bhai both seem to have lost their battles with me; which is about making me computer literate or at least putting me to grasp the nuances of making a folder for all the requisite files for Bakhabar. Yeah, like you, Me too ,have sympathies for these two of my finest [and patient] brothers. So rest of the story, next month Till then take care and enjoy!

Feminists of Aligarh
and the Questions of the Rights of the Girls in the University Campus.
Mohammad Allam, PG Teacher(History),Minto Circle, A.M.U. Aligarh From time to time, the question of gender discrimination in terms of access to central library and membership of the General education Centre are evaluated and equated with gender discrimination at A.M.U. campus. The voices which are raised in support of this discrimination have not any support from data. One of the feminist when read a paper in International seminar organized by Centre of Women Studies and raised the questions of gender discrimination then a seminar attendee asked that has she collected any data to explore the will of the parents of the girls and girls themselves on this issue?. She did not answer this question. Democracy is the name of adjustment of the interest of all. In democracy, the majority is used to be on the helm of the affairs .The interest of minority can be adjusted but cannot be allowed to dictate and dominate .But this is not true in A.M.U. campus when it comes to the right of the women. Here the cyber and radical feminists who are in minority try to dominant the campus with less than 10 percent of their presence. They believe in democracy in searching for the solution of women rights but their working are like the totalarianism of Stalinist the ideologue of left. Feminism is a new trend for highlighting oneself to enjoy power and celibacy without working for the upliftment of the girls in A.M.U. There is a group of feminists which always try to raise issues for own vested interest. Prof Sheereen Moosvi, ex chairman of Department of History and Director of centre for women studies has retired after long period of working for the cause for women in the campus. To be successor of Prof Sheereen Moosvi, there is competition among the pseudo feminists at Aligarh. To prove themselves successor of Prof Moosvi some feminists without any work tried to be champion of girls cause by raising such non-sense issues which instead of paving the path of girls education, would put obstacle in their path and create problem for the university in general and administration in particular. These feminists dont remember that what they are wishing to change over the night is matter of radical change. For which neither the mentality of the institution nor the condition of A.M.U are suitable. Instead of just raising radical slogans if these feminists would work for the betterment of girls at A.M.U. by providing better teaching at Abdullah college, career counseling and coaching for their betterment, that would be better for the causes of girls. There is a group of leading feminists at University campus who want to work for causes of the girls. Among these are Mrs. Zakiathe OSD of Aligarh Public School, Mrs. Bilqees Bano, and Mrs Waris Naseem etc. Mrs. Zakia recently has organized a two days international seminar on the life and services of Sultan Jahan-the first chancellor of A.M.U. Her Highness Sultan Jahan was an educationist and leading figure for women education. She said that women should not educate themselves for competition with men but for the sake of own betterment. She opened many schools for girls education. She contributed a lot in the development of A.M.U. Jamia Millia and other institutions at Bhopal. What about all those feminists who are more concerned on their own vested interest? The question of gender discrimination in term of library access is a political gimmick raised by the opportunist feminists to meet their vested interest. If they are really sincere in their effort for the right of the women in the campus then they should do some research work. With the help of administration they should know the will of the parents and guardians for allowing their daughters and wards to be outside of hostel till late evening. If the parents in democratic majority allow their wards then the administration should arrange for them. Otherwise if only few want to go then the rule cannot be changed by scarifying the interest of majority but could be accommodated by providing more and more facilities at the respective college and hostels of the girls. Now the girls of the Women college have own students union. This should be discussed in their Union. There is no right to any feminist other than girls Union to raise this issue to disturb the academic environment of the campus from time to time. Certain restrictions may appear as discriminations to girls but in fact they are for ultimate benefit of the society and nation. Such restrictions should not be taken as discriminations. They are meant to provide security and to uphold the dignity of noble families of the girls. Every institution has own culture and set standard which cannot be equated with others. In a statement given by Dr Rahat Abrar, Public Relation Officer of the university said that Maulana Azad library during the session 2010-11 provided reference reading facility to 11936 students who are registered as bonafide users of the library He further said that out of these students who were provided reference reading facility at the library in 2010-11 are 3670 female students. And one should know when a library works as a reference library. So where is the work of under-Graduate girls? The above mentioned data show that some of the feminists are trying to disturb the academic environment on the direction of the enemies of the University. These feminists are playing politics of gender discrimination to strengthen their position at A.M.U. campus and outside of Aligarh. The university administration should not allow such feminists to tarnish the image of the University for Personal vested interest .The voices should be raised from the victims side if there are so, if not then other should be asked to confine to own limits. For them there are many issues and works to do like providing quality education, career counseling, coaching and guidance etc. where these campus feminist could play important role but they have not time for these constructive works. They need issues, not the works to do for the upliftment of their sisters. At this point, the good feminists who are working tirelessly and silently for the upliftment of the girls right in A.M.U. campus for long should sideline these propagandist feminists. The old respected feminists know that the role is crucial and should be done in noble way. A woman of noble family knows the noble rights of noble girls and women. Let the path of women freedom move gradually and slowly in noble way, not in barbaric way like revolution which would perish the road of freedom for girls.

Beyond Excellence
Part-3: Doing ones Best!
This is Part 3 on the series Beyond Excellence: The Making of a Muhsin, by brother MuQeet Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam, Assalamu Alaikum. When Allah is so good and gracious to us, should we not be good to Him, and consequently be good to ourselves and to others? If we are not good and true to Allah then we will be guilty of being ungrateful to Him. As Allah reveals in the Quran: O man! What has seduced you from your Lord Most Beneficent? Him Who created you, fashioned you in due proportion, and gave you a just bias? (82: 6, 7) Justice and reason demand that man should do good in the cause of Allah, as Allah has been good in the cause of humanity. The Quran says: do good as Allah has been good to you (28: 77) And do good, truly Allah loves the good doers (2:195) One should not be under the illusion that by being or doing good, one is doing a favour unto Allah or His Messenger, Muhammad (Peace be upon him). It is only for ones own good, one is asked to do good. If you do good, you do good for your own selves. (17:7) He who gratefully acknowledges the favours and bounties of Allah by submitting his whole self to the will of Allah in fact grasps that firmest hand-hold which is never to be broken. Whoever submits his whole self to Allah, and is a Muhsin (doer of good), has grasped indeed the firmest hand-hold: and to Allah shall Bakhabar all things return (31:22) MOTIVATION TO DO GOOD While enjoining Muslims to do good deeds, Islam also encourages and motivates them to do so. He that does good shall have ten times as much to his credit: He that does evil shall only be recompensed according to his evil: No wrong shall be done unto (any of) them (6:160) Narrated by Abu Huraira (R A) who said that the Messenger of Allah said, When any one of you adorns his Islam, then whatever good act he does, he is rewarded ten to seven hundred times of it, but if he does anything evil, just that much is recorded against him. This narration clearly says that he who beautifies his faith and Islamic belief by doing good deeds; the worth of the reward is greatly enhanced. The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: The most weighty (heavy) thing that would be put in the scale of a believer on the Day of Judgement would be his good manners and Allah very much dislikes the man who used obscene language and was abusive (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood) Even Recommendations Count! A person who motivates others to do good things and recommends for a good cause will have his share of reward. Whoever recommends and helps a good cause becomes a partner therein: and whoever recommends and helps an evil cause, shares in its burden (4:85) S o u r c e : https://yassarnalquran.wordpress.c om/

n found themselves in during the period of Jaahiliya (Ignorance) of pre Islamic Arabia. Arabia was a male-dominated society. Women had no status or rights of any kind other than as sex objects and commodities that could be bought, sold and even disposed of. The number of women a man could marry was not fixed. When a man died, his son inherited all his wives except his own mother. A savage custom of the society was to bury their female infants alive. Modern day abortion being no different other than being more sophisticated. Even if a man did not wish to bury his daughter alive, he still had to uphold this honourable tradition, being unable to resist social pressures. Drunkenness and gambling were common vices. It was during such times that women were sold off in lieu of debts or offered as guarantees. One point worthy of mention is that in spite of women being treated in the manner mentioned above it was still considered an act of cowardice for a man to violently attack or show aggression to a woman. It was at this time and to such a community of drunken, male dominated and war mongering people that Allah Taala chose to send His Final Prophet (May Peace be upon him) with the final revelation Al Quraan. In a period of 23 years the Noble Messenger of Allah made such an effort and prepared these backward desert dwellers to become the beacons of light that would radiate out of the sand dunes of the deserts of Arabia to illuminate the minds, hearts and souls of humanity who were then grovelling in the oceans of darkness. Together with removing Idol worship, forging human brotherhood between the black and the white, the slave and the master, uplifting the oppressed and downtrodden, giving hope to the weak, inculcating sober habits and perfecting good character he also redefined the position of women in society and restored to them their equality, honour, dignity, humanity and position in society. No more was a woman a mere commodity with no rights but rather she was recognised as an individual with full rights to ownership, education, inheritance, respect, honour and marriage. Perhaps the highest accolade given to a woman was that Islam recognised her sacrifice during child bearing and birth (Quran-Surah 46, Verse 15) and therefore made her deserving of most respect from her children even above the father (Hadith-Bukhari & Muslim) and also categorically stating that Your Heaven lies under the feet of your mother (HadithAhmad, Nasai)

We are going to counter it as follows: We will first keep our own home safe and children secure and not bother as to what is the status of community. We will not even comment on any such issues for fear of inviting any trouble for ourselves. We will not even encourage the doers in our community doing good work for socio economic and educational development of community. We will not generate recignise and nurture our leadership Instead we will kill it. We will not unite and protest against media harming the community by giving judgment against it. We will not learn any lessons from a tiny community Sikhs who come to street unitedly if any one tries to harm or damage thier community. We will not learn any lessons even after Babri Mosque, Gujrat and Sachar committee report and we will not stand solidly behind any leader who takes up our cuase instead we will pull his leg. We will not allow our Alumni associations and institutions (educational or social) to grow, instead make all efforts to either divide them or destroy. We will keep sabr and sabr coz this Duniya is not for us what awaits us a good Hereafter in lieu of our entirely personal religious rituals. We will wait and expect others to take up the cuase of community like education and harassment thus we wiil expect that a Sir Syed or Gandhi should be born but not in me or in my home. We will counter it by keeping ourselves divided in various sects- Sunni Shia Bareilvi Deobandi Ahle Hadis and fight among ourselves. We will counter it simply by watching talking and preaching on powelessness of community and take no action.
it is as simple as that.

Imaan:
From Weakness to Strength via Sabr....
From Beyond Education collection Nissar Nadiadwalas Editorial forYoung Muslims Sabr enjoys a top privilege in Islam. The Qur'an mentions it between 80-90 times in different styles. In Kitabul Ilm of Sahih Bukhari, Ibn Masood (r.a.)is quoted: As Sabru Nisful Emaan, while Yaqeen is complete emaan. Scholars explain this term as-Sabru nisful emaan that half of Islamic commandments are based on Sabr! If a believer observes patience then he can implement 50 percent of Shariah, and if he is impatient then he may fail to implement a large number of commandments. Scholars prayed a lot for sabr. In Surah Barkarah, verse 250, the translation says: Our Lord! Pour on us Sabr and make our feet firm (in the battle) and help us against those who reject the faith. How can you be firm without Sabr? In the battle you lose your men, you face injury, you fear being killed, yet you continue being there because it is Sabr which makes you firm that is why the above dua has "Pour on us Sabr..." The magicians who accepted Islam after their magic was over powered by Moosa's Miracle requested Allah, Pour out on us Sabr. It was when the death was close upon them. Those who desire the help of Allah are also told in this verse and other verses of Surah Bakarah. Seek the help of Allah through Sabr and Salah. Sabr is a source of strength. It gives immense psychological strength too. Recall the situation when our Prophet (pbuh) and Abu Bakr (r.a.) were in the cave and the enemies were so close to them that they just had to look at their own toes and would spot the two men. Abu Bakr (r.a.) feared but Rasullulah (pbuh) assured him. What is your opinion about those two when the third is Allah? The verse number 40, of Surah Toubah was revealed commemorating the confidence of the Prophet (pbuh) in Allah and it was an immense display of Sabr. Thousands of years ago another Prophet (pbuh) was rewarded for sabr, who stood on the bank of the sea with no way to escape and his enemies within his sight. It was here that Prophet Moosa (a.s.), when questioned by his men who were afraid, showed immense patience and rejected their fear saying KALLA! My Lord is with me and He will guide me. The word Kallah means "Impossible!" NOT POSSIBLE that my enemy will catch me. Then he said "My Lord is with me. Pharaoh had a huge well equipped army but Moosa had Allah. With whom is Allah? The Qur'an says multiple times. Allah is with those who show Patience. Moosa (a.s.) showed patience and Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) showed patience, so Allah justified their confidence in Him and helped them because He is with those who are patient. These days Muslim Nations are politically weak. In spite of being 55+ Countries, nobody cares to ask our views, our lives are cheap, our lands are easily accessible, and our rulers can be Bakhabar driven out overnight. The Qur'an testifies with the example of Bani Israel's victory that Sabr is one of the main qualities that turns an entire Nation from a weak society to a power packed community. That is what Moosa (a.s.) said to his people, Pray for help from Allah and bear with patience, for, the earth belongs to Allah to give a heritage to such of His servants as He pleases. Surah al-Ar'af ch 7, verse 128. The community was about to lose sabr when Moosa further said to them: It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you inheritors in the earth... says the 129th verse of the same Surah. The Bani Israel though they were rebellious and sinners yet they had people who showed extreme patience and that is why Allah appointed leaders among them giving them guidance till they persevered with Sabr and continued to have faith, says in Surah as-Sajdah chapter 32, verse 24. Allah gave them political leadership and religious leadership as well. Out of the 25 Prophets mentioned by name in the Qur'an, a large number of them were from Bani Israel. Prophets like Dawood and Suleman were Kings as well, peace be upon them. The Bani Israel turned into a super power of their time when Prophet Dawood routed the Palestinians and King Suleman was feared by many rulers of his times. Sabr is a quality that transforms not only an individual but an entire community into a strong Nation.

published in book form. Renowned and active human rights activist Teesta Setalvad has mentioned it in her recent analysis (The Hindu, 20 February). The article was written in the context of the recent riots in Dhule (Maharashtra) which was in fact one-sided police action against Muslims. The scenes of this police barbarity were well captured in mobile cameras but the media did not pay any importance to them. After publication of the interview Thereafter Teesta Setalvad questioned the entire police structure and its system and said that she had done a long interview with Vibhuti Narain Rai in 1995 which was published in about 30 publications. In the interview, Mr. Rai, in the light of his experiences and observations, further highlighted the role of Indian police, according to which the rioters belonging to the majority community take the police as their protector and friend during the riots. Teesta has written that after the publication of Mr Rais book and her interview with him the government and the police department did not take notice of it; however responsible citizens and some senior security officers, including the founder and former head of Border Security Force KF Rustomji and DIG Padma Rosha, turned towards it. Expressing concern over this situation, he had emphasised that the police department should take stock of the serious issue of communalism and casteism and take immediate corrective measures otherwise this situation of communal conflict among the various sections of society will take a serious turn. In her article, Teesta has also severely criticised the priorities of TV channels. Bakhabar

Real moderate?
In all our prayers five times a day while reciting surah fatiha we ask Allah, show us the right way, the way of those You have favored, who did not incurYour wrath, who are not astray. Serat e Mustaqeem is not just a thin straight line on a drawing. It is a broad highway that can lead man to eternal success. Alas, conservatives try to narrow it to the size of their mean understanding and liberals think the verbal recitation of kalm-eshahdat has put them on an expressway of limitless width. There are others who think being complacent to their religion is moderation and one who is devout and steadfast is conservative. Real moderate is not the one who is carried away with prevalence and contemporariness of life but the one who after adopting the right way excels in good deeds with sincere intention to please his Lord. Limits prescribed by Allah are not to curtail material progress of mankind but it is to protect the mankind from its harms. [By the Time! Man is surely in loss, except those who believed and did good works, and exhorted one another to Truth, and exhorted one another to patience. Surah Al Asr]

Imaam or Muazzin. A few join some Madarsaas to become teachers. Those who are Huffaaz (those who can recite Quran without looking at the text) have another avenue to generate some income. They lead the Tarawee prayers during Ramazaans in different mosques. At the end of the Tarawee, they are paid some money. It generally runs into few thousand rupees. That is why we can find intense competition and even lobbying by Huffaaz to get place in some mosque to lead the Tarawee prayers. Some of those who pass out from the Madarsaas, and are more enterprising, start their own Madarsaas. Starting a Madarsaa is quite easy. No infrastructure is required. Generally, the Madarsaas are located in mosques and the infrastructures of the mosques are used for the Madarsaas. Also, the Madarsaas have an inherent advantage. These institutions can utilize Zakaat, Sadqaa, Fitraa, Charm-e- Qurbani etc. Mosques cannot utilize these funds. As a result, the Madarsaas are able to generate some income and the rest is managed through donations. Also, on different occasions people invite the Madarsaa teachers and children for lunch, dinner etc. or people deliver ready food at the Madarsaas. That is how the Madarsaas thrive and their number is increasing with passing years. But that is generating more competition among different Madarsaas and they have to work more aggressively to sustain themselves. There is one another aspect of the day to day life in Madarsaas. Generally, the teachers and managers have different kind of food as compared to the children (students). Obviously, the food served to the children is of inferior quality. That is one reason why the children are quite elated, if they are invited for lunch or dinner by some household. There the food is generally better as compared to what they get in the Madarsaas on regular basis. One last aspect related to the day to day life of the Maulanaas and

"Save yourself from Hellfire even by giving half a datefruit in charity." [Bukhari 2/498] 6) Narrated Abu Huraira(RA): The Prophet(pbh) said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." [Bukhari 3/125] 7) Narrated Abu Huraira(RA): The Prophet(pbh) said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not hurt (trouble) his neighbor. [Bukhari 7/114] 8) Narrated Abu Huraira(RA): Allah's Apostle(pbh) said, "Anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor, and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should entertain his guest generously and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet. open letter to
Dr Javed Jamil Honble Minister Mr Khan For last several years, I have been raising the issue of Muslims not doing any pre-budget or post-budget assessments. This was also one of my major points in Muslim Vision of Secular India: Destination & Roadmap. Fortunately, this year several efforts have been made in this direction. But what is still seen is that most experts are just interested in knowing what are the allocations to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Minority Commission, Waqf Board, Maulana Azad Foundation and AMU and Jamia Millia. We forget that Muslims are 15 pc of the population, and as such deserve to be the direct or indirect beneficiary of 15 pc of the national economy in all parameters including Budget provisions. What we forget is that Muslim masses can benefit only a little from various allocations listed above and will benefit or lose more depending on the general direction of the budget. It is really unfortunate that most governments do cater only to the demands of the corporates in the first 3 budgets and take certain measures for the masses only when the elections approach. There is never a discussion in the budget on the state of economic disparity. I have never heard any Finance Minister telling g the level of economic disparity in the ginnis. They are hugely concerned about the fiscal deficit but there is no concern at all about the present economic disparity and expected economic disparity in the coming financial year. Fiscal deficit is discussed because the pressure of corporate groups is to keep it minimal, as more fiscal deficit means more pressure o0n the rich. Economic disparity level measurements will on the other hand put pressure on the government to take more pro-poor measures. Muslims, and all those who are interested in the alleviation of poverty, must ensure that the main focus remained on Economic Disparity, and must insist that the Finance ministry tell the people the current and expected level of economic disparity in the country. There is also a need to categorize economic disparity into region to region, state to state and community to community disparity. If just this one index is made the main topic of the talk, a sea change will be seen in the direction of the budget. As I have pointed out in my approach paper also, the overwhelming percentage of the total revenues collected by states and centre comes directly from the masses (Sales Tax being the major source) and wealth tax forms almost a negligible proportion of the total revenues. Other so called direct taxes including corporate tax are also transferred to the consumers in one way or the other. A change in the tax policy with more collection from wealth and corporate taxes and less from sales tax will put a stop on inflation. As far as Muslims are concerned, everyone knows that the allocations made to the Muslim ministries and organizations is too little to produce any visible impact. As the Budget is yet to be passed, I will appeal to the Minority Bakhabar Minister to press for (1) Allocation of at least 20 pc of the funds allocated to NGOs in different ministries, i n c l u d i n g We l f a r e , labour, women and child, health & Family We l f a r e m i n i s t r i e s . More than 1000 crores from these ministries are allocated to NGOs, which means that Muslims NGOs must get at least 200 crores. (To monitor these projects, as well as other schemes, Ministry of Minority Affairs can appoint a mother NGO). There are funds available for health, family welfare, labourers education, de-addiction, women education etc, but Muslims do not even get 1 pc of this corpus. (2) There must be special provisions for ensuring that Muslim villages and localities are cleaned and beautified and get proper road connectivity and electricity. There may be special provisions in the budget to ensure this. (3) There is a strong need of beautification of important religious centres and cities like Ajmer, Kalyar, Deoband, etc. Special budgetary allocations should be made for the maintenance of all such centres; (4) There is a need to open Community Centres in all Muslim majority cities. This can be done under PPP schemes with Government providing the land and the community contributing in the funds required for construction; These are only some of the steps that can be immediately pushed. Next year, we can plan afresh. I also appeal to you that come what may, the budgetary allocations to your ministry must not lapse. Best Regards

pass on what is extra to those who are not privileged like us. We consider ourselves Muslims. There are clear instructions from Allah in this regard. Allah directs that we should not eat up our wealth in vanity i.e. to show our importance or in pride. O ye who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves unjustly except it be trade amongst you, by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allah is Most Merciful to you. [Quran: 4/29] As far as wastage is concerned, it is not at all liked by Allah. O you who believe! Make not unlawful the Tayyibat (all that is good as regards food, things, deeds, beliefs, persons) which Allah has made lawful to you, and transgress not. Verily, Allah does not like the transgressors. [Quran: 5/87] About wastage, Allah directs time and again that He does not love those who waste any resource. Obviously, that will include food and all other resources. And it is He Who produces gardens trellised and un-trellised, and datepalms, and crops of different shapes and taste (their fruits and seeds) and olives, and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in taste). Eat of their fruit when they ripen, but pay the due thereof (its Zakat) on the day of its harvest, and waste not by extravagance. Verily, He likes not those who waste by extravagance. [Quran: 6/141] Allah is kind enough to permit us that we can eat and drink as per our needs. But we have no right to waste. Allah does not like those who indulge in wastages.

Impending Threat by Corporate Sector, Middle Class and Communalism to Our Political System
V.K. Tripathi, IIT Delhi Ever since UPA II assumed power, corporate sector and middle classes are on the offensive against the government. The media owned by the former is aggressively pursuing this design, and the ideological organization of these classes, the RSS (with all its wings) is waging a viscous countrywide communal campaign. It is not only the Congress and its allies that are under threat, the entire political system is in danger. cheap) are Bangladeshis in their eyes. This is a blatant attack on the citizenship and dignity of the countrymen, on the roots of the nation. But TV channels ignored to unearth this massive drive. In fact sections of print media became a party to this drive. The impact of this drive and similar other moves on the middle classes has been so deep that they started projecting Narendra Modi as the prospective prime minister. Modi has two distinctions: one, he taught tough lessons to Muslims, by letting the genocide go on uninterrupted for three days, and two, he has reduced the status of MLAs and Ministers to zero. Corporate sector directly gets its work done by him and the entire secretariat is ready to serve them.

Only people centric polity, through the awakening of the masses, can put a check on the dictates of the capital. The political parties and social activists who want to save the political system from the onslaught of the capital and keep it alive, must ponder on the following issues. they are 40-45, their bones become stiff or they develop lung related problems and are not able to do hard work. They do not work for a fixed contractor. For them job cards may be issued. Each year a card will have the record of how many days the person has worked with which contractors, signed by the contractors and counter signed by government official. Once the person has accumulated 4000 man days on the card he/ she must be entitled for the pension to be paid by the forest/ mining department. For this sum these departments may levy a surcharge on the contractors at the time of giving them the lease.

Jbir ibn Hayyn(Citric Acit, Nitric acid, sulfuric acid and Hydrochloric acid)
Citric acid Jbir ibn Hayyn is also credited with the discovery and isolation of citric acid, the sour component of lemons and other unripe fruits[5] Nitric acid, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid: The mineral acids nitric acid, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid were first isolated by Jbir ibn Hayyn. He originally referred to sulfuric acid as theoil of vitriol Jabir ibn Hayyan, who transformed alchemy into chemistry, inventing many of the basic processes and apparatus still in use today liquefaction, crystallisation, distillation, purification, oxidisation, evaporation and filtration. Sun is always vertical to a particular spot on Earth. It was 500 years before that realization dawned on Galileo. The calculations of Muslim astronomers were so accurate that in the 9th century they reckoned the Earths circumference to be 40, 253.4km less than 200km out. The scholar al-Idrisi took a globe depicting the world to the court of King Roger of Sicily in 1139.
Azarchel (Astrolabe)
This all-in-one model, created by an astronomer known as Azarchel, lightened adventurers' loads. With it, globe-trotting Muslims could pray daily at the correct hours, facing Mecca, whether they were in Ibiza or Kazakhstan. Astrolabes ultimately led to the development of astronomical clocks. Vaccination : The technique of inoculation was not invented by Jenner and Pasteur but was devised in the Muslim world and brought to Europe from Turkey by the wife of the English ambassador to Istanbul in 1724. Children in Turkey were vaccinated with cowpox to fight the deadly smallpox at least 50 years before the West discovered it. Pay cheque: The modern cheque comes from the Arabic saqq, a written vow to pay for goods when they were delivered, to avoid money having to be transported across dangerous terrain. In the 9th century, a Muslim businessman could cash a cheque in China drawn on his bank in Baghdad. Many more hundreds of Inventions are done by Muslim scientist during Islamic golden age which was dark ages for Europe.
