Business Description

As we already know that Bangladesh is a very potential and business environment friendly country. We have selected Footwear sector as a new business plan project. The main reason to select this sector, this is an unravel sector and we have found huge potential in this sector. And most importantly we have analyzed the previous years Industry background and we went through to the future feasibility, so that after analyze every single data we considered Footwear sector as our business project Bangladesh is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia. As a developing country, there is enormous opportunity to do business in various sectors in Bangladesh. Recently, a new opportunity has opened up to diversify the range of Bangladesh's export base further by including footwear and other leather goods in the list of exports to the European Union (EU) market in particular. Especially in Footwear sector has an enormous opportunity to expand. Bangladesh could have a billion dollar footwear export sector by 2013, claim local shoe manufacturers on the basis of both the current growth in shipments and the increased production capacity in factories under construction. According to last fiscal year (FY) $205 million worth shoe have exported and this year first four month $98 million worth shoe has been exported which is 65% percent more than previous and current estimate show that if the trend of growing is sustain so it probably cross the limit of $300 million. On the other hand local toners are able to produce 300 square feet rawhide in a year and we are getting 220 squire feet from the indigenous source which is fulfilled the 80%percent of the demand of rawhide. Local footwear size is more than 1,600 cores and the footwear industry is growing 32% per year while leather industry at 20 % and Leather goods at 25% And recently government took a good initiative as a safeguard of local footwear sector that is increased duty on import as rate 35% In addition we are getting generalized special preference (GSP) facilities to get into the EU and USA markets Furthermore Some International Footwear manufacturing company going to stat business like Taiwanese shoe manufacturer Pau Chen, Australian manufacturer Bonbon Shoe, a supplier to Hugo Boss, and Xen Chen. They started construction in both Dhaka an chittagong which probably help to expand our shoe industry. Finally we proposed this business idea because this is a unraveled sector and in here we have so many opportunity to explored that will help to our GDP.

Market type; our main vision is to delivered a good quality indigenous product with low cost in inside and outside of the country. As our plan we have figure out some ideas or concept of our product, as we know our local source are able to meet 80% of our leather demand. We will be able to provide leather shoes compare to foreign synthetic shoes. We planned for get into manufacture and we will have outlets over the country and initially we will go for some selective place so this could a service type business also.
