Bryce Johnston Treatment for: Timmy Finds a Friend In this spot, little Timmy is in need of a friend. The man with the low, 1950s PSA voice introduces the young boy to the idea of adopting a pet. He then basically has his pet stolen by the boy in a comedic way. The spot concludes with the boy taking the pet, after the man tells the listener about the website. The main concept behind this PSA is to bring our older listeners back to when the PSAs were very cheesy and predictable, while also providing comic relief in how it is presented, which appeals to all of the ages. At the same time, the benefits are real and give the listener incentive to adopt a pet, or at least check out New Nodaway to see what it is like. A Attention is caught with the old fashioned film reel sound, reminding the older listener of cheesy PSAs he or she had to watch in high school. I The interest is in the idea of having a friend for someone who may be looking for one or wonder why little Timmy does not have any friends, and how he can possibly get one. Interest is also kept with the listener who is following the conversation, and they dont want to be the person without a friend like Timmy. D Desire comes from the need one has for a friend, and wanting to adopt from the Humane Society because of the animals that need homes. A Action is evident when the website is named, explaining how the boy can get a pet of his own.
