IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS (IRR) IN THE CONDUCT OF THE 3rd NFJPIA SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

IRR 1.0 IRR 1.1

GENERAL GUIDELINES 3rd NSFF is open to all members of NFJPIA 2012- 2013. This event aims to enhance more the creativity of JPIAns all over the archipelago through film making. All characters must be a bonafide member of the organization. Confirmation of participation should be made by a representative on or before April 1, 2013. Asking for technical assistance from an outside source particularly in editing is allowed. No member of the NFJPIA Executive Officers is allowed to be involved in the preparation and presentation of the entry. All must be strictly independent works. All entries must not exceed 12 minutes. Entries should be presented depicting the 30 th National Annual Convention Theme. Strictly no official entry will be publicized through social media by the bearer beforehand. Once violated, the entry will be void. In case of any concern, clarification, or protest which is not governed by this IRR, the chairman of the said competition shall have the absolute power to decide on matters which deemed necessary to preserve and protect the integrity of the event. His decision is final and non-appealable.

IRR 2.0 IRR 2.1

REQUIREMENTS Fill-up softcopy application-forms with decent pictures of each character in a 2x2 white background with real name and screen name, and send to nfjpia30vpnonacademics@yahoo.com on or before April 8, 2013 together with other requirements. Relevant soft copy data of the short film must be duly accomplished and send to nfjpia30vpnonacademics@yahoo.com and nfjpia30vpmedia@yahoo.com on or before the due date. These are*: A. *Poster it must contain the title, lead actors and actresses and the name of the prime characters, producer(s), director(s) and other important person(s) behind the film. B. *Trailer it should not be less than 30 seconds but not more than 60 seconds time. C. Synopsis a maximum of eight (8) sentences but not less than five (5) sentences story line. (send this in a separate document with the filename: Region#-synopsis)

Final entry must be placed in a DVD with film cover and send to Ms. Hazel Monique Jumawan, NFJPIA- VP Non-academics on or before April 8, 2013 with the address: University of San Carlos, P. del Rosario St. LBC Branch .

IRR 3.0 IRR 3.1

MECHANICS Each regional council can choose on what concept, genre and theme song they will use. The short film must not exceed to twelve (12) minutes time inclusive of titles and credits. The scene(s) must not be vulgar or obscene and must be suitable for presentation in a public forum. Any dialect can be used but must be subtitled in full English. Entries must have been produced within the period of May 2012- March 2013.

*Entry must reach in 1000 FB Likes or more to obtain 50 points, less than the required likes will vary in the given point. e.g. 450 FB Likes = 22.5 points [(4501000) x 50 = 22.5].
