Montage
Description:
An insperational montage made by the blending of two or more
images, and the use of typography.
Process:
I started out doing research for my project by looking for pictures
and a quote. I then added the pictures to Photoshop and resized
and cropped them to how I wanted them. I then applied a
desaturatcn and a sharpen lter tc cne cf the pctures. Next l used
a mask to gradually blend the one into the other. Then I created
the text t's all abcut team effcrt" fcr the qucte and xed the fcnts
and colors till they were the way I wanted them. Finally I added
value tc the backgrcund pcture tc make the text stand cut.

Description:
Matching letterhead and business card designed using a
personally created logo.
Process:
I started by a logo in Illustrator by using the pen tool to draw a
grenade and addng t tc the text Assault Pctures. After dcng
so, I sized it and put it at the top of the letterhead and used the
same fonts to create the contact information on the other side. I
then drew a dotted line to visually connect the two. I then took
the grenade symbol and blew it up and turned down the opacity
tc create the watermark. 1hs nshed the letterhead.

A cclcr full-bleed event ad tc prcmcte a fundraser
using only Microsoft Word and a scanner.
Process:
I scanned an image of a snowboarder out of my Steez magazine. I placed the
images into Microsoft Word. I cropped and color corrected the image within
Word. I then created three triangles and inserted them into the ad to make
them look like mountains and added a shadow to make them stand out on the
page. I then created the title using a rectangle to give contrast to my design. I
chose to use a decorative font for the title to give a snowy feel. I then added the
rest cf my mpcrtant textual nfcrmatcn and arranged them, and the mages,
tc gve the page a gccd algnment and cw. 1here are a lct cf features that
make Microsoft Word an easy, beginner program to create a visual design. I was

A personally taken photograph that has been
edited/formatted using Photoshop.
Process:
While doing a video shoot with my friend that is a professional snowboarder, I
used my Cancn XAi0 vdec camera wth tc take scme vdecs and phctcs cf hm.
l used a sh eye lens, because l lked the way that t blurred the cutsde edges
giving the photo a sort of dreamlike feel.
I put the picture into Photoshop and I began editing it by tweaking some of
the coloring. I ended up totally desaturating the background trees and snow,
somewhat desaturating the gear and snowboard in the background, and
saturatng hs |acket, pants, and sncwbcard pretty heavly. l alsc added a lter cn
him and some of the gear in the background using a dialed down plastic wrap
lter tc make t all pcp and stand cut.
