Fun Filled Days At Foundations Christian Preschool Calling all kids ages 2-4!

Come join us on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am 12:00 Noon . Children will socialize with other children, while learning through creative, age appropriate educational experiences. We will nurture your child, while fostering emerging independence in a safe and caring environment. Tuition for the month is $120.00 which consists of 8 or 9 classes . If that is too many classes for your child, then consider sending him/her for four selected days of your choice for $75.00 per month . This group has started and will continue to meet until the end of May. There are still openings for your child to join us. Looking forward to seeing you! Family Promise Fashion Show and Luncheon Spring Forward on Sunday, April 7 th from 1 to 4 pm at Lawnhaven at the Stroudsmoor. Men and womens sport fashions by Dunkelbergers on parade. Congregational Care Our homebound members are always happy to be remembered by the church family. Encouraging cards can be sent to: Gladys McKay, 360 Whitestone Corner, Apt. 315, Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360. College Care Package Time! Final exams are stressful for our ESUMC college kids. A note from home and a small gift can make a big difference! We are sending gift cards from Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and WaWa to the students this spring. You can add to the notes written by our Youth Group by purchasing a $10 gift card and dropping it in the collection plate (put in envelope) or off at the office.

Stephen Ministry
In 1 Thessalonians 5 Paul writes, Therefore encourage one another and build each other upencourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. God has called us all to build up and encourage one another. For those who are experiencing a very difficult time, our Stephen Ministers can provide the special encouragement, care, and support that they need until they are past the crisis. For more information about Stephen Ministry, contact Peggy Strack. Music Ministry Final preparations are being made for the April 14th Cantata Upon This Rock narrated by the discipl e, Peter. Next choral rehearsal is Thursday, April 4th at 7:30-9 pm. Before attending your first rehearsal, please contact Pauline Fox. Artists in painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography are invited to display their works in the annual Fine Art Exhibit in Fellowship Hall on the same day as cantata. Coordinators are Connie Godleski and Karen Dudley. Interested teen and adult artists are asked to contact Pauline Fox at foxes@esumc.net or 223-9889.

Congregational Prayer Time It is a critical moment in the life of our church! You are invited to join in a congregational prayer time on Sunday, April 7 at 5:30 pm 6:15 pm in the Sanctuary. We will lift up prayers for discernment on a vision of moving towards a new look at our worship, regarding times and a full time Director of Worship. We believe that a faithful God will hear the prayers of a faithful Body. Please join us for this important time!! Effective Parenting in a Defective World Raising children is a tough challenge in today's world, especially when kids face constant pressure from their peers and culture. Tim and Jill Malefyt will lead this DVD-based series which can give you a vision for your children's future, a new understanding of God's principles for child-rearing and life-changing help for today. Beginning April 21st and continuing through June 2nd, this 11 am small group study is appropriate for parents of children from infancy through the teen years. Sign-ups are in Fellowship Hall. Prayer: Does it make a Difference? Spending time in prayer is important in the life of Christians; yet many struggle with it. In this six-week DVD-based study, Cathy and Dave Saunders will help you explore your own prayer life, finding answers for your questions and support for your struggles. Sessions include Why Pray? and Does Prayer Change Anything? This small group study will begin on Sunday, April 21st at 11 a.m. and continue through May 26th. Sign-ups are in Fellowship Hall. After School Childrens Program Lords Army (grades 1-3) will meet on Monday, April 8th from 3:45 5 p.m. and Backyard Buddies (grades 4 and 5) will meet on Wednesday, April 3rd from 3:45 5 p.m. Transportation is available from East Stroudsburg Elementary, J.M. Hill, Stroudsburg Intermediate and Stroudsburg Middle School for both of these after school programs. If your child needs a ride, please contact Lisa at 421-3280 or lpino@esumc.net Recovery Meetings AA Meetings Thursday and Saturday at 8:00 pm. NA Meetings Monday through Saturday at Noon. All meetings take place in the Community Room of the Office Building.

Save The Date Indoor Picnic and Reorganization Meeting for the OKs Older Kids (55+), come celebrate the new spring weather with an indoor picnic on Monday, April 8 th at 11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Bring your favorite picnic food to share, but no s mores! The business part of the meeting will be a discussion of how to organize programs for the next year. Wellness Events Take a Hike with Bob Rosenberger Sunday, April 21 at 12:15 p.m. Wear appropriate shoes and bring water. The group leaves from the church parking lot at 12:30 pm sharp. Spring Adult Mission Trip We are going to Crisfield, MD, the Crab Capital of the World, from Sunday, April 28 to Friday, May 3. Crisfield, MD had over 350 homes damaged by Super Storm Sandy. MS Walk at Pocono Raceway Toms Trekies will be walking again on Sunday, May 5th. Sign -ups are in Fellowship Hall. Gaga Tournament Sunday, May 5th tournament is open to 3rd through 12th graders and their families. A Gaga Tournament is a scaled down, friendlier version of dodge ball using a ball pit. This is provided free of charge by Pocono Plateau! Grades 3rd 5th grade will play from 2pm 4pm and Grades 6th 12th will play from 6pm 8pm. We ask each family to donate snacks and/or juice for this event. If interested in signing up, contact Lisa or Scott at lpino@esumc.net or skuhnle@esumc.net. Vacation Bible School Yee haw! VBS is coming to town on August 5 th-9th! Our theme will be SonWest Roundup! Volunteers are needed so contact Lisa Pino .

Sunday No confirmation class or Youth Group on Easter Sunday so families can enjoy time together. Monday The community dinner is at 4:30 pm in Fellowship Hall. Contact Ana Price (570-422-1461) for information about how you can help or just to join in the fun! Faith and Fitness Zumba class from 7-8 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Bring water and a small towel. Cost is $5 for church members and $6 for non-members. Open Basketball, led by Frank Ems, from 8-9 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Games are appropriate for experienced players of all ages. Players do make a monetary contribution to the church. Tuesday Indoor Soccer for grade 3-6 students in Fellowship Hall Grade 3-4 students meet from 6-7 pm. Grade 5-6 students meet from 7-8 pm. Coach Joe Heitczman will instruct students each week. Students are required to have shin guards and wear sneakers. There is no charge; however, you must register with Lisa. Wednesday Backyard Buddies (grades 4 and 5) meet after school from 3:45 5pm. Core Strength Training is held from 7:15-8:15 pm in the Youth Room. The cost is $5 per person. Bring water, exercise mat, and a friend. Child care provided on request.

Zumba Gold: 11 am12 Noon - Cardio dance class for deconditioned adults of all ages working toward improved fitness in Fellowship Hall. Cost is $5 for church members, $6 for nonmembers. Child care provided if needed. JAM Afterschool Program: 2:45 pm5 pm - Jam is a time of fun and fellowship for our Junior High youth. Church vans will pickup 6th, 7th and 8th grade students from JTL and Stroudsburg Middle School. Permission forms are needed to participate for pick-up. Following JAM all youth are welcome to stay for the Fellowship Meal from 5:00-6 pm, and then join in the Small Group Bible Studies from 6-7:30 pm. *Note - Bible Study is open to all

youth grades 6-12

The Girls on Track program begins Thursday at 2:45 pm at part of JAM. Friday Mens Retreat of spiritual renewal, fellowship this weekend at Camp Brainard, Saylorsburg, PA. Be sure to ask next week how it went! Saturday Women of Faith Brunch begins at 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Oberholtzer Hall. Cost $5.00. All women welcome.
