will be going over ^~E (sirheohaeyo), the verb "to dislike."

The most basic and rudimentary way to express dislike of someone or something is to use
^~E (sirheohaeyo), the verb "dislike." This is used just like the English "don't like" or
"dislike." The most basic construction with this verb is as follows.

(Object)eul/reul silheohaeyo.
(Object) dislike.
Note: The object marking particle is j (eul) or (reul). lt marks the object of the sentence.
j (eul) is used for objects that end in consonants. (reul) is used for obejcts that end in
vowels.
Example:
7 ' ^~E. (jeo-neun seusi-reul sirheohaeyo). l don't like sushi.
Literally:
l (topic marking particle) sushi (object marking particle) dislike (standard politeness level).
(topic of sentence) + (object that is disliked) + (^I)
For the verb ^~E (silheohaeyo), the object marking particle, j (eul) and (reul) is
used to mark the thing or person that is disliked.

The object marking particle can be dropped in speech. Although this can cause confusion
on occasion, the majority of the time, it can be inferred from context what the object is (this
is also true for other particles in Korean). Parts of speech can be dropped in conversation
(i.e. topic marking particle, subject marking particle), as long as they can be inferred from
context.
