State of the Lodge
Brothers of the Lodge, I hope you all are doing well, had a great month of March and enjoyed the holidays. This is the last newsletter for the year but, the website will be updated as need be. March was a very eventful month and we are proud to announce our new Brothers, who were initiated on March 23, 2013. We initiated twelve Brothers in all, including a Legacy. I would like to send a thank you to Pledge Educator, Eric W. Simpler 13, for a great job. This month is a very important month in terms of accreditation and it being the end of the academic year. Our Accreditation presentation will be April 18th, 2013 at 8:30 AM in the University Center. We would love to have support from local alumni if it is possible. March was a great month and we are preparing extensively for the upcoming Accreditation presentation. Sadly, our beloved Brother, Steve Brodsky 01, passed away from leukemia on March 22, 2013. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and we pray that they will receive support from his Brothers. There is more information below about Brother Steve Brodsky and how we plan to help. Undergraduate Spotlight: Guyvensky (Marcus) Dormevil

Brother Marcus Dormevil 13 has been one of the most accomplished Brothers within and outside of the Lodge. He is a Chemical Engineering major and after graduation he will begin working for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Technology Consultant based in New York City. During his time at Lehigh, he played football for 4 years and has held numerous positions within the Lodge including Social Chair, Treasure, Financial Advisor, Accreditation Chair and Community Service Chair. In March, Brother Dormevil was awarded the David Hellekjaer Memorial Award by Lehigh University. The David Hellekjaer Memorial Award is awarded to one graduating senior who best exemplifies characteristics such as vigorous participation in sports, dedicated commitment to the study of science (natural or physical sciences) and loyalty and contribution to a fraternity or sorority. The award is voted on by a committee and presented by the Dean of Students. We are very proud of Brother Dormevil and we wish him success in his future endeavors. Obituaries (R.I.P.)
Brother Steve Brodsky, Class of 2001, unfortunately passed away at the young age of 34, on March 22, 2013, of complications from leukemia. During his time in the Lodge he was involved in multiple activities and was a great person to be around. He is survived by his wife, Anna, and their son Mason. Spring Benefit Concert

On April 20, 2013, Brother Kwesi Kankam will be performing at the lodge to conclude his 2013 Spring Tour. The doors will open at 9PM. This event will be a benefit for the family of our lost Brother, Steve Brodsky. We will be pre-selling tickets for 3 dollars and 5 dollars at the door. The amount that we raise will be matched by active brothers, the classes of 1977, 2001 and 2003. The event will also feature a 55 inch flat screen TV giveaway for the winning entry ticket. Program for Excellence
The Program for Excellence served as the cornerstone of this years Mid-Year Leadership Retreat (MYLR). The Program for Excellence is a program that presents new ideas on how to improve sorority relations and improving what it means to be Chi Psi Gentlemen. It features ideas such as speed dating, pig picking, golf outing events etc. At the MYLR, undergraduate Brothers received a draft version of the Program for Excellence and an online version is available at: www.chipsi.org/programforexcellence.
The Lodge

Accreditation
The accreditation process this year is much further than in recent years. Brother Marcus Dormevil and Brother Jared Heschke are heading a committee of six Brothers. We are very excited for the accreditation process this year and believe we are able to secure the highest possible rating. Our accreditation hearing will be held on Thursday April 18, 2013 at 8:30 AM. If you are in the area it would be greatly appreciated if you attend. P&E Account
The P&E account is a valuable asset to the current undergraduate Brothers. It allows us to use funds to partake in intellectual activities that will enhance the Chi Psi experience. The P&E account can be accessed at mylehigh.lehigh.edu/fraternity. We encourage alumni to continue to donate to the P&E account so we are able to have events in the future and allow future Brothers to truly experience what it means to be a Chi Psi Gentleman.

Spring Golf Outing
We will be hosting our first annual Spring Golf Outing on April 21, 2013 at Wedgewood Golf Course in Coopersburg, PA. Brother Michael Colvin13 is still working on the details and they should be finalized in the coming days. If you are interested in playing in the outing please contact Brother Colvin at mjc413@lehigh.edu.

Spring Formal
Brothers will be participating in our annual end of the year spring formal at Mountain Springs Lake Resort in the Poconos. The retreat will be an intellectual and social experience for new members as well as older Brothers. The retreat will take place from April 26-28, 2013. We are grateful for the opportunity to take part in the retreat and we would like to thank alumni for donating to the P&E account, which allows us to make this happen again this year.
