April 10 Dec 10 Institute for Policy Research Research Assistant for Professor James Rosenbaum Evanston, IL Researched and evaluated economic impact of educational investments between technical college programs and traditional community college trajectories in Illinois and California; transcribed and reviewed faculty and student interviews; created project management data set to be used for pending publication; administered survey data from students; quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed impressions from interviews and surveys. June 10 Aug 10 Asian Pacific Liver Center Community Development Intern Los Angeles, CA Developed culturally sensitive Hepatitis B outreach and education programs for over sixty underserved Asian communities in the Los Angeles metropolitan area; assisted phlebotomists with blood tests during weekly Hepatitis B screenings; transcribed, interpreted, and communicated test results in Korean, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and Thai for each screening of over one hundred patients per week.
