Terms and Agreements:

Please initial in each blank to verify that you have read and understand the corresponding agreement.

Foster Care Providers must read and agree to the following terms and conditions when fostering one or more of our dogs. The purpose of the agreement is to protect the health and welfare of the foster dog(s). RCR wants to ensure, as much as is reasonably possible, that the dog(s) will be treated as a loved and valued family remember while in your temporary care. General Care: Your status as a foster care provider for RCR is strictly voluntary. By placing a dog in foster care prior to transport or placement in their permanent forever home will allow the foster parent to observe and note certain behaviors that were not apparent at the time the dog was taken into our rescue. It is estimated that a dog may stay in your home from 6 days to 6 months. Upon signing this foster application, you agree to provide care and love for any foster dog placed in your home to the best of your ability, as well as the following terms contained herein. The dog must live in your home as part of the family. It is NOT acceptable to tie the dog on a stake or place in the yard for extended periods of time, unless its only for the safety of the dog, where fresh water is available. If this becomes a necessary thing for you to do, we must be notified within 24 hours as to why, so we can figure out how to rectify the problem. Most dogs taken into our rescue have a given name. It is imperative that you do not change the dogs name. If the dogs name is "Fido," it must remain Fido, unless discussed and agreed upon. We have found on several occasions when a foster parent has changed the dogs name it has caused a major mix-up in paperwork and for the dog. Also, in many cases when the dog is placed in its forever home, the new owner(s) may change the name. This can be very confusing to the dog and to our records. We very much appreciate your help in caring for one of our dogs and encourage your input, but the final decision on placement of the dog(s) is the responsibility of Royal Canine Rescue. The dog will be placed in the most compatible home and not on a basis of the first application received. The dog must be kept on a leash at all times when outside the home. If they are outside in a fenced area, they must be supervised until it is known whether the dog will dig under or go over the fence and not left out for extended periods of time. If you plan a vacation or weekend getaway, your foster dog can be placed in another foster home or kenneled while you are away. A two week notice in advance is requested to find the dog alternative placement while you are away. The dog should NOT be left in the care of anyone who has not been approved as a foster care provider by Royal Canine Rescue. We ask that our foster care providers supply food, water, and shelter for our rescues. Royal Canine Rescue operates solely on donations, so providing food for all fosters is nearly impossible. Please be advised that you will receive a foster that is ready for adoption (i.e. updated on shots and spayed/neutered). We will not place a dog in your care that has not had the proper veterinary care. We will place a dog in your care that fits your lifestyle to the best of our ability; according to the foster application we are provided.

Health Care: If an emergency occurs please don't hesitate to rush the dog to the vet and please notify us as soon as possible, but before seeking veterinarian care for non-life threating issues please contact us, Phone lines are available 24/7. Behavior and Training: Most of our dogs are not perfect and have been taken in or surrendered to us for various reason(s). You will be made aware of those reasons prior to taking the dog, to the best of our ability. Each dog may need training in one or more of the following areas: obedience (jumping, barking), housebreaking, walking on a leash, separation anxiety, as well as socialization (introduction to new sounds and sights), and possibly medical rehabilitation issues. The dog will be temperament tested prior to being placed in your home; however, there may be exceptions to this rule. Please indicate on the Royal Canine Rescue Foster Application if you are willing to take a dog in an emergency situation. Safety: You will notify RCR immediately if you plan to change your address and/or phone number. If moving to a new location, RCR will have to approve the transfer of said dog to your new address. You will advise RCR immediately if the dog(s) is lost or stolen, and make every reasonable effort to recover the dog(s), including, but not limited to posting flyers, and contacting local shelters and veterinarians. Follow-up: You will advise Royal Canine Rescue as to the condition and adjustment of the dog. You will allow an RCR member to visit your home to check on the health and welfare of the dog(s), and for the purpose of determining compliance with the terms and conditions of this agreement if deemed necessary. Transfer of Ownership: You understand that Royal Canine Rescue remains the lawful owner of the dog(s). If RCR requests for you to surrender the dog, for a reason, you have 48 hours to do so. You shall never abandon the dog(s). You agree to never give, sell, or transfer ownership of the dog(s) to another person, relative, rescue group, humane association, shelter or pound, pet store, or any medical or experimental laboratory or similar organization. You understand that all adoptions will be handled by aRoyal Canine Rescue member unless otherwise agreed upon. If you are willing to let prospective adopters visit the dog at your home, please indicate on the Royal Canine Rescue Foster Application. At no time should anyone other than an Royal Canine Rescue Member or Approved Person, be allowed to take the dog from the foster care home without prior approval.

If you decide that you would like to adopt the foster dog(s), you understand that you will follow all adoption procedures. You understand that RCR makes the final decision regarding the adoption of the dog(s) based on the best interest of the dog(s). Return: If you are no longer able to foster, you must contact Royal Canine Rescue immediately. We require a 10 to 14 day notice for all foster dogs to be removed from your care. This give us time to make arrangements with other fosters, members, or rescue groups in order to find alternate placement. Once an arrangement has been made, a Royal Canine Rescue representative will contact you to reclaim the dog. Liability: We do not accept aggressive dogs into the program. If the dog, while in your home, exhibits any dominant behavior, you must notify us immediately and we will arrange for the dog to be pulled from your home. If at any time our dog(s) bite someone, we are not in any way, liable for any damages from resulting bite. Let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange to have the dog(s) removed. You are fully responsible for the actions and behavior of the foster dog(s) while in your home. Royal Canine Rescue will not be held responsible for any damages to your personal property, i.e., chewing, digging, housebreaking issues, etc. You certify that all the animals in your home are current in their vaccinations and heartworm prevention. You fully and completely release RCR from any and all claims and liability for any illness that your animals might develop, even if said illness might have been procured from the dog fostered for RCR. Spay/Neuter Agreement: You agree to never breed a dog fostered for RCR if he/she has not been spayed or neutered while in your care. You will take all necessary precautions to prevent a foster dog from breeding.

A Royal Canine Rescue Member will call you within 24 hours of placement in your home to make sure the dog is adjusting well to the new environment. We will contact you on a regular basis to check on the dog. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us, RoyalCanineRescue@yahoo.com. ***By signing below you agree to all Terms and Conditions set forth on this application and all your info provided is valid.
