Lose 7% of your body weight. Exercise 30 minutes five days a week. Moderate level exercises, such as brisk walking, playing tennis, lifting weights and even scrubbing floors, is suffi cient.

Staff Info

Take natural supplements or medicine, if need be, to control your glucose levels and keep cholesterol and blood pressure in line, because pre-diabetes raises your risk of heart disease and stroke by 50%. Have your blood sugar checked regularly to see if you are improving or if you need to add more precautionary behaviors to your lifestyle.

Notes from Congregational Health Team Build a healthy plate Before you eat, think about what goes on your plate or in your cup or bowl. Foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and lean protein foods contain the nutrients you need without too many calories. Try some of these options. - Make half your plate fruits & 1 vegetables. - Switch to skim or 1% milk. - Make at least half your grains 1 whole. - Vary your protein food choices. - Keep your food safe to eat: to 1 learn more www.FoodSafety.gov. Many places in West Africa are experiencing shortages of food this year. Weather conditions and political and social conditions in many West African nations have all contributed to this. Pray that God will provide the Beng with the food they need. Pray also that the Beng will look to the one true God for both physical and spiritual nourishment.

Kens Deacon Families Ian, Melissa, Nicole, Jonathan & Ashley Bacon Micah & Miho Camarata Ryan Campbell William & Nancy Davis Vashti Dudley David Gallop David & Melissa Gunter Vance & Stacy Matthews Lynn Mayberry Steve Metts Mike & Allison Norris Benjamin & Elaine Owen Kevin & Laura Sibert Bible Quiz According to one account of Jesus ascension, commonly called the Great Commission, he told the disciples to do several things. Which of the following was not part of Jesus instructions? A. Make disciples B. Perform miracles C. Teach D. Baptize (See Matthew 28:19-20.)
Helpful hymns when paying your taxes Put a song in your heart as April 15 approaches. As you contemplate "What a day that will be" and anxiously wonder, "What if it were today?", you may be asking, "And can it be that I should gain?" If you complain, "I am not skilled to understand" and wish you had been "A debtor to mercy alone," you probably can find that your "Days are filled with sorrow and care" and feel "Shackled by a heavy burden." "Trembling soul, beset by fears," "Be not dismayed, whate'er betide." Just "Let your hearts be broken," knowing that "God will take care of you" as you say, "I surrender all." When you realize that "Now the day is over," you can experience "Peace, perfect peace" and joyfully exclaim, "It took a miracle!" -Joan Brauning, Coatesville PA
