Exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared decision making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others. Target Audience: The faculty of Cass High School is made up of 71 teachers with an average of 12 years of teaching experience. The average number of teachers with a bachelors degree is 53%. Teachers having a masters degree is 35% for Cass High faculty members. Those who have a specialists degree is 6%. There is one teacher at Cass High who has a doctorate degree. These numbers are projected to increase due to the enrollment of faculty members currently working on their masters, specialists, or doctorate degrees respectfully. The Bartow County School System is currently pushing toward implementing even more technology in the classroom setting. The faculty at Cass High School has been chosen by the county office to lead the way! Every faculty member at Cass High School has a Mac Notebook as well as a desktop computer. Our freshman students are already using the Mac Notebooks during the regular classroom setting. Each faculty member uses and works with computers on a daily basis. Technology training happens at Cass High School every two weeks during one planning period. Technology training ranges from creating professional networks, using new learning websites such as NBC Learn, using Web 2.0 tools, or becoming more familiar with the Mac Notebook. Teachers are struggling with having confidence using these new methods in the classroom setting. Some teachers struggle with the task of setting up their computer stations and installing the new technology tools. Having a video that explains how set up the computer station and technology tools would be beneficial to the faculty at Cass High School. It will promote collaboration of teachers and take some of the work load off of our media specialist. Motivation The teachers at Cass High School have an abundance of technology resources. Each classroom is equipped with a smart board, camera, Mac Notebook, and desktop computer. Our media specialist does an outstanding job collaborating with teachers to encourage the use of other type of technology resources. However, many teachers feel overwhelmed at times with all the new technology tools and strategies. Many lack confidence in using these tools in the classroom. The purpose of this video is to create a learning tutorial that will explain and demonstrate how to properly set up their computer station and install new technology tools. Once teachers view the video and understand how to set up their computer station and new technology tools, they will gain confidence and be able to use the tools in the classroom. The video will create a way for teachers to collaborate with each other about problems, solutions, and new ideas about the tools. Learning Objective: The faculty of Cass High School will be able to independently set up their computer station and new technology tools.
