Directed a staff of eight for a 350-employee facility with $44M in sales and P&L responsibility. Improved profits by $2.4M FY97 to FY98 with the same level of sales. Reduced customer complaints by two-thirds (92 to 28) year over year. Improved operational efficiency by 8.7% through reduction of 40 positions. Directed the upgrading and replacement of equipment reducing scrap by over 30%. Established an Accountability System that focused each functional department and the production departments on improving throughput and reducing errors. Passed three Quality System audits. Directed the successful transfer and closing of the 125,000 sq. ft. Successfully led plant and corporate personnel to meet timing and cost requirements on the $650MM Ford Taurus program while increasing throughput and decreasing lead time dramatically. Directed the development of one-piece flow for the engine cooling modules, and the purchase, layout and installation of new equipment.
