Title: Sagada: A Place to Go Before You Die

Specific Speech Purpose: To inform my Comm. III audience on why it is worth and easy to tour in
Sagada.
Statement: Sagada is one of the most frequented destinations in Northern Luzon by local and foreign
tourists.

INTRODUCTION

I. Attention Step: During the pre-enlistment period we are used to hear students enlisting in
a subject because it is unoable or the professor handling that subject can give
dream grades. Well, as for me, my personal basis in choosing a subject is the
occurrence of field trip.
II. Clarification Step: Just last month I joined a trip to Sagada. We went suroy-suroy over the place
and learned that Sagada, a 5th class municipality in Mountain Province is
endowed with rich sites everyone can enjoy. Once you’ve gone there, your
will to come back is just normal.

BODY
I. Sagada offers sense of utter peace of mind and internal relaxation.
A. There is a sight-seeing of natural sites.
1. These includes Bokong Falls, Echo Valley, Kiltepan Viewpoint, Underground River,
Demang Village, Hanging Coffins, Lumiang Burial Cave, Lake Danum, Bomod-Ok
Falls, Sumaguing Cave, Mt. Ampacao and etc.
B. The coldness is cool.
C. The inns and restaurants are the best place to stay.
1. The rooms are fitted for everyone.
2. The food servings are worth trying for.
3. The people are accommodating.
II. There are various activities that can be done in Sagada.
A. Walking is one of the great pleasures here.
B. Popular activities include trekking, exploring both caves and waterfalls, spelunking,
making bonfires, picnics, rappelling, visiting historical sites, nature hikes, and
participating in tribal celebrations.
C. Mountain biking can also be done.
D. Picture-taking is perfect.
E. Visiting pottery workshops in Besao.
F. Buying souvenirs is also common.
III. A trip in Sagada benefits many factors in promoting Philippines tourism.
A. The trippers get to be indulged with activities about the culture of the place.
B. It helps generate income for the people there.
IV. There is no more hassle in preparing for a trip.
A. There are different websites that post everything you need to prepare.
1. They provide itinerary samples.
2. They provide the cost.
3. They provide every little piece of information on what to do in Sagada.
4. They provide some pictures taken in the place.
B. You can just ask the help of your friends, classmates and professors that had been to
Sagada.

Administrative Region, maybe it’s time for you to discover and be enlightened why Sagada is considered
