Crossing the arches

Vauxhall The missing link

VX107

Lambeth High Street Park

Localised along the River Thames and close to the best monuments of London, Vauxhall has asset features for being an attractive area of the 21th century. Investments and work places, neighbourhood and night life, artistic network or history are urban advantages put together into a chaotic but exciting environment. Furthermore, the station is an important nod of connections and the main access to the area even though the railway is a break line in the site. Our response is to transform this array of isolated

units or programms that operate autistically, to an intensified area of mixed uses linking with shared spaces. Our targets are sump up in five points. To develop a network of green and pedestrian links along the railway.

The green link is an ecological connection between the

gardens whereas the pedestrian link is a route. Vauxhall Walk is layout with shared spaces. Parks and gardens are designed with new programming. Ponds are made up to increase biodiversity. To create connections between East and West and get closer the green link

from the bus station to Spring gardens. The traffic is bypassed on the South of the site by Parry Street. A new square is created and it is became a central point between the bus station and a promenade along Albert Embankment. To landscape the bank of the River Thames. Riparian zone is planted on some parts

of the river bank. A new pathway pass through this area and give access to many pontoons.

They could be flooded but a part of the pathway could float above the river.
