In his book, “Alchemy and Psychology” Carl Jung describes the Alchemical

Process of the transformation of Consciousness into the Philosopher’s Stone, or the

Perfect Philosophy which give the person Personal and Spiritual Power. Jung states that

the Alchemist typically starts with Three or Four Magic, or Elemental Colors, and then

proceeds toward the Integration of Consciousness. (Jung p.228). Now, Jung states that

the Alchemist must start with the Magic Color of Black, or Black Magic in the process of

melanosis, which leads one to the Prima Materia or Substance or Chaos of the Holy

Spirit, which is Black Substance. While Jung describes the substance of Gold as the

Primary Substance or Symbol for Substance, as as such, I prefer the use of a Cube of

Black Jello. Then the process of leucosis or Whitening takes place, and moves the

Alchemist into the Union of Opposites, where the the Magic Color of Black, (Black

Magic) and the Magic Color of White (White Magic) are merged into the Magic Color of

Gray, or Gray Magic. (Jung 230, 231) Gray Magic is then used to construct the Magic

System experimentally, and then, the Final Stage is where the Magic System is locked in

using White Magic. The Wisdom acquired along the Way of Gray Magic is what

enables the Alchemist or Wizard to undertake White Magic, which is relatively

permanent.
