General Meeting Minutes, 19 October, 2011 Present Apologies

Steve Goodheart, Nick Jones, Robin Parker, Mike Bowerman, Damien Reynolds, Richard Baldwin, Nigel Bully. Damon Parkinson, Robbie Cameron, Stewart Nicol, Tracey Baker, Roger Claydon.

Festival Funding Garden Subcommittee Gigs on Pier

Grant Application Further to Robin's email, no further action. Needs a time-schedule. Robin to re-mail requesting confirmation Ongoing project to involve the Pier at the annual festival. Meet with Kevin has yet to happen. Nick Jones plans to meet with Nick Wren who could provide support, including his contacts 'Frantic' in the London dance scene. The Pier could facilitate ROX's movement into new musical genres and has potential to generate funds for ROX. Ian Murphy, friend of Mike Bowerman and Richard Baldwin, has a good knowledge of dance music and associated sub-genres. Pier has a capacity of 2000 people, second only to Butlins.

White Horse Gigs

No further developments. Mike and Nick are putting together a statement of costs that the White Horse management will need to address. Plan to meet next Tuesday.

Branding

No further action from Tony Ladd. Kirstin, Audience magazine, is very busy and cannot action at the current time. Robin to contact Phil Gregory to request assistance.

Chilled Shake

We are prepared for next event. No further developments. Could prepare a press release for next week to review the gig. Richard to contact Christian Murray, RE: photography. Need to set up a good shot for promotion of Chilled Shake to new venues. Posters need to be printed and circulated around the town.

Steve to print out some posters tomorrow for distribution around the town. Richard to resend the 3 dates poster around the group. The Chilled Shake page is the 4th most visited page of the ROX website and so needs constant updating. ROX comedy FAB Chi Uni Event Mentoring To be discussed next week. No progress, Robin awaiting correspondence from Steve Hill. Grant application to cover the Marquee has been submitted. Photo shoot at Hotham Park is scheduled for Wednesday after next. Press release is prepared to announce the Partnership and promote the event. Robin to deal with insurance. ROX Party General feedback given by the group was positive with great networking opportunities. A business guest donated 500 because he was impressed with the aspects of ROX outside the festival. Disappointing attendance from main sponsors. However, good attendance by councillors. Christian's idea of 'April Foolishness' could present another opportunity for a similar event. ROXs alternative sports day could take place simultaneously with the Olympics. IT Committee Nigel can attend an IT meet this Friday at 2.30pm. Landing page to be removed, Nigel advised to place content to be put on the Index.asp page. Friends of ROX to be absolved into Partners and Resources. Various promo videos need to go online, including Christian Murray's one that was used at the Thursday night ROX party. Information about the Bob Dylan show needs to go online. Nick Wren has made a video of his interview with Steve Goodheart. Subject to approval this can be placed online. Nick Jones has a lot of raw footage of the 2011 festival from Nick

Wren. Promo Soundtrack Mike Bowerman has almost finished a new sound track for the Business Promo created by Robbie Cameron. Mike would like to re-record the voice-over due to back-ground noise. Mike would like to be mentioned on Promo credits Original Music by Mike Bowerman. Mike to Contact Robbie. AOB Event Management Opportunity Nick Jones has had contact with a friend in Pulbrough who owns a large farm, House on the Brooks, Coldwaltham. The owner has requested assistance with a festival he is planning, he is very interested in dance. His proposed dates for event are 2nd ,3rd,4th of June. Steve Goodheart and Robbie Cameron has been cc'd on correspondence with this contact. Property owner is interested in financial gain not Charitable work. Nick Jones has identified this as a potential revenue stream for ROX. Urgent meeting to be scheduled with the property owner, Nick Jones and Steve Goodheart. AOB Phoenix Centre Youth club opened up alongside the Regis School for 11 18 year olds. Lady responsible for running the facility is interested in getting ROX workshops coordinated. We have an opportunity to use their equipment, including a state of the art recording studio. Mike Bowerman has the knowledge to use this equipment. Need to arrange further meetings with the management to move the project forward. Steve to arrange a meeting. AOB Church Project Nick has spoken to the Philanthopists. They have been having financial difficulties and are looking to bring in another party. We await further information.

AOB Birdman

Steve has been invited to a post-event meet Friday after next unfortunately he cannot attend. Steve appealed for someone else to attend, Robin to action. Birdman management are looking for someone or group to take over the running of Birdman Rally.

AOB Bognor Regis Damien Reynolds asked why we still have no display in the Museam museum. Stewart Nicol and Robbie Cameron have been involved with this project. It would be worth while to put a display together. Further investigation of this opportunity is required. Damien Reynolds to contact Stewart Nicol for information about developments so far. AOB Sponsorship Music award to be sponsored by ROX. This award will hence forth of Chichester be named after ROX music and Arts. College Music award Meeting Adjourned at 9.03pm
