PRAYER AND PRAISE

Please pray that the Kindergarten operating in our facility would truly be a light to the community, and would be used by God to draw many people into His kingdom. Praise the Lord for the fabulous Kindy Manager that He has sent us from BBCC. Carin has many years of experience in both teaching and management roles, and understands our heart for ministry. Please pray that the Lord would empower her for this important role and ministry. Pray that the Table for 6 initiative will create wonderful moments, memories and relationships in our church family. Please pray for those in our church family who are feeling overwhelmed at the moment for so many diverse reasons. Pray that our God of peace will order their steps and lead them through. Praise the Lord for how He is blessing our church family with work, successful auctions, and safe travels! Pray that the Lord would comfort and bring peace to those in America who were affected by recent events in Boston and Texas.

Are you new to this facility?

We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a new church, so please note that:
The toilets are located down the passage to the right as you exit the sanctuary. The Preschool ministry begins at the start of the service in the Creche, and 5-13 year olds are dismissed part way through the service for Sunday School. Information on who we are, as well as on all of our ministries are available online at www.whac.net.nz Each week, we share a cuppa together after the service, and would love for you to stay for a chat.

Table for 6 Facebook is great. Gmail? I love it! But nothing compares with sitting down for a meal with friends and family from church. Table for 6 is a new initiative at WHAC to see that happen. Would you like to host a meal - while not preparing all the food? Please see Sally Skellon or Esther McKean. Kindy Ministry

A New Creche Facility..... If you have a baby, take a look at the new crche facility information in the Ministries for Children section of the newsletter. We are excited that Nina has decided to take charge of this Ministry and we know that she will do a wonderful job.

Colossians 3: 1-4
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honour at Gods right hand.

Ages 0-2 We have a supervised creche twice a month in the north side of the foyer. Parents are welcome to either drop their kids off, or stay with them. The other two weeks of a month the facilities will be there, but parents will need to supervise their own children. Our Kids Club is divided into two groups, for age appropriate lessons. These take place in the hall during the sermon. A notice will appear on the screen when it is time to dismiss your children. Reorient: Prayer Join us in the church every Wednesday at 7.30pm as we pray for our community, our church family and ministries. Home Group: Mordaunts: To be advised Thomas: To be advised The Kindy Korner The church Kindy is off to a flying start, and would love to have the following goods donated: Yogurt pots Ice Cream containers Butter/margarine containers Plastic bags Non-perishable food to give to needy families Any help is greatly appreciated!

Kindergarten (or known through the centre). To do so, a basket has been placed in the foyer for your donations of nonperishable food. Thank you so much for your support as we seek to make this Kindy a true reflection of the heart of Christ for West Harbour. 40 Days of Community "You were never meant to fulfil God's purposes on your own" Starting the Sunday after Mother's Day (May 19), WHAC will be starting into "40 Days of Community", which is a church wide campaign to deepen our understanding of how God uses other people for our good and growth, in addition to how God can use us to bless other people. Please be praying for this important time in the life of our church! Mothers Day Baby Dedication... ... babies not required! At WHAC, we recognise that children are a blessing from the Lord, and a great responsibility that He has entrusted to us. As such, every Mothers Day, we offer an opportunity for parents to dedicate their children, their children's future, and their own parenting to the Lord and His glory. If you would like to dedicate your little one this year (May 12), please fill in a Communication Card today! A new directory is coming... It's wonderful to see that our church family is constantly changing and growing, and as a result of that, we are putting together a new church directory to keep us all connected. A rough draft is at the morning tea table, and all are asked to check that the details that they would like included are correct as presented. If you would like to be included for the first time, please fill in your details in the space provided.

Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
