Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!

The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble. . . . Let them praise your great and awesome namehe is holy (Ps. 99:1, 3).

Today's Prayer Requests: Focus on Cte d'Ivoire

Nearly 40% of Cte d'Ivoire's 22 million people identify themselves as Muslims. The Assemblies of God of Cte d'Ivoire has established a department focusing on unreached peoples, working in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, and social aid. An AG leader asks us to pray for these efforts: Pray that the Lord will impress upon the Ivoirian churchesmembers and pastors alike the urgent need to reach Muslims with the Good News. Pray for discipleship-training efforts. Pray that God will raise up more teachers within the churches who will give themselves to this ministry of grounding new believers in the faith so that they may stand against pressures to return to their former lives. Pray that the Lord will provide resources to help those who have been rejected by their families. They need clothing, food, school fees, etc. May He touch the hearts of believers who can contribute. A great need is to open safe houses for those who have been turned out of their communities. Some are in mortal danger. Please pray that the Lord will provide the means to establish such centers and give wisdom in finding the right people to operate them. Pray for the Executive Committee of the AG-CI in these efforts, for fresh vision, wisdom, and resources. GUINEA-CONAKRY: A student asks for prayer concerning the political unrest in Guinea, that the troubles will open the eyes of people to see that the Truth is in Jesus.

From Global Initiative*

Pray for efforts to witness to 200,000 Muslim immigrants in Japan. Though the first mosque in Japan was built in 1935, Islam gained little attention until the mid-1980s, when thousands of immigrants from South Asia and Iran began coming to seek jobs or education. Some married Japanese women and have established Muslim families. The disjointed Muslim community is making a more concerted effort to unify itself. Recently the first Islamic school opened next to the Tokyo Mosque, and some mosques offer Koranic and Arabic classes.

For Muslim Women**

Pray for Muslim immigrant women in the Netherlands to be befriended by followers of Jesus, so that they might recognize the true I AM in them.
