CORNERSTONE ORPHANAGE
The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the Lord's doing, and it is wonderful to see. Matthew 21:42 Eric Idehen is a native of Nigeria, and has long cherished the dream of providing assistance to local children in need of loving families. After a journey that took him around the world, from Nigeria to Ukraine, Spain, he eventually settled in the United States, Eric founded the Cornerstone of Hope Orphanage in 2006. We are devoted to transforming childrens lives and are now known as the "Hope Orphans. The original Orphanage is located in Benin City, Nigeria. Now as of 2012 we have a second Orphanage in Pujehun, Sierra Leone to serve the children there. Today the orphanage in Benin City can provide a safe and loving shelter for 50 children and in Pujehun we can serve 20 children with the hopes to build our own house, we could serve more. Both at home and abroad both volunteers, families, and community leaders are working tirelessly towards maintaining and growing the organization. The mission to provide a high quality of life and promising future to each child in the Cornerstone of Hope orphanage continues to be the number one priority and our expansion to a new country make that hope available to more children in need. On Sunday, May 5th, Eric Idehen will be with us to speak about Cornerstone Orphange. We will take up a special offering to support the work of Cornerstone Orphanage.
