The Spring Fling Run/Walk is to increase awareness and to raise money for kidney transplant
recipients. This year’s beneficiary is Jerry Sanders. Born in Kansas in 1957, he started compet-
ing in cross country and track. He moved to Hilton Head in 1987. He was, at one time, the
President of the Hilton Head Running Club. Formerly he worked at Hilton Head Prep School in
the Children’s After School Program. For the past 18 years, he worked with PGA Pro’s children
during the Annual Heritage Golf Tournament on the Island. He is the father of two young chil-
dren, Megan and Keegan. With your help, they will see their father run again. For those of you
