The use of technology in schools to teach students has been a fast growing topic throughout the past couple of years, as technology has been becoming a big part of our lives. This inquiry became vey interesting to me because I have always liked using technology and feel that I can learn better when technology is implemented into the class. The knowledge and greater understanding of the use of technology in classrooms is very important, as it can be a great and very beneficial asset to classrooms. As we do have a lot of information on the use of technology in classrooms further studies are necessary to actually know if technology is really beneficial to students. In this paper I will show my research on how the use of technology is beneficial and helps make classrooms better learning environments for teachers and students. The format in which I will write my paper is in a play format in which my sources will be characters.

Setting: In a TV show where the topic is the use of technology in schools. Characters *Host: Has a TV show where the topic is the use of technology in schools. *High School teacher: A High School Spanish teacher from Randolph County that I interviewed.

*Elementary school teacher: Elementary teacher in Mecklenburg that I interviewed. *Rebecca Anderson: Is a writer of the book using technology In k-8 Literacy Classrooms . *Digital natives: Talks about how technology has evolved and the necessity of teachers to be trained to effectively use technology. *Paul Lam: Wrote an article where he talks about why teachers are hesitant when it comes to students using technology in their classrooms. *Yuan Yuan: Wrote an article where it talks about the different ways that elementary teachers can use technology with their topics. *Shihkuan Hsu: Writer of a research paper on the use of technology in schools.

Host: What do you all think about the use of technology being used in classrooms? High school teacher: Technology is never consistent and cannot be counted on which can make the use of it very difficult. Yuan Yuan: For traditionally teaching teachers this can be a drastic change if they begin to use technology in their classrooms so if they decide to use it should be brought in slowly into their lessons and not all different types of technology all at once. Elementary teacher: The use of technology motivates children to learn and allows children to learn how to use technology, which is a valuable skill that can help them later on in life while the use of it can also serves as help for the teacher as the students can listen to books online.

Rebecca Anderson: Technology is very useful in teaching in k-8 literacy classrooms as there are many different ways of using technology in this subject and can be more interactive for the students. Digital natives: We have witnessed an increase in technology throughout the past couple of years and to effectively use it we must learn more about it and how to properly incorporate it into the classrooms. Paul Lam: There are many pros and cons to this matter and the decision of weather to allow it in classrooms is a very difficult decision to teachers but the majority of students prefer to use it. Shihkuan Hsu: I also agree that technology is a good thing although through my research I have found that the use of technology is influenced greatly by two main factors which are teacher grade level and the school level. Host: Paul lam, what do you think about the huge controversy of technology being used in classrooms and how its said to be distracting? Paul Lam: Well studies have shown that the use of technology in a classroom have helped facilitate faculty-student participation and interaction but it is true that many students use it wrongfully and can cause many distractions. Host: Elementary teacher, as a teacher what do your students think about technology in classrooms? Elementary teacher: Most of my students are in favor of the use of technology but there are a couple that prefer not to use technology, but one of my students says they should be allowed to use technology in the classrooms because for instance

when the teacher is busy helping another student they can use their computers and use them as a teacher to find answers to their questions. Host: High School teacher, do you use technology in your class? If so how? High school teacher: Yes, in my Spanish class I teach we use a smart board which I use in various ways to teach as I can bring up stories to discuss with the class as well as playing vocabulary games with the class but as I said earlier it can not be counted on as one day it may be working perfectly and the next it could randomly not work. Host: That is all the time we have today thank you all for your time and your opinions.
